« on: January 20, 2008, 07:55:34 am »
Hi guys,

I added my steps in the mantis, but I'm still running 7.04, and the answer from Ender was:

"Did you try this with 0710beta's ? The issue you are describing was happening with 0704 if the user activated manually the repeated keys while Orbiter was running."

Anybody got the problem still under 7.10, or is it solved?

greetz augalex

im wondering too since it doesnt seem that we are going to get a straight answer / fix for 7.04.

I have reopened it, since "reloading the router" doesn't solve anything.

Thanks

the solution is supposedly to : 'You need to reload the router after adding the gyro dongle, to let orbiter initialize the hid module.'

i got this from the mantis update...will see if it works before i have to go to work  >:(

yeah so i:

deleted the gyromouse from the system via the admin panel
reloaded the router
plugged in the dongle.
let it download and install the software.
reloaded the router when it was done.
noticed it installing something called usbraw
when it was done, reloaded again but still nothing.

if anyone else has any uck, please let us know.

the update media function has some issues when you try and run it manually. There was another thread on this already.

I generally have to manually add media. other methods seem to be a waste of time. unless you have nothing but time.

I guess you missed the earlier thread about this topic. Im actually attempting to rally some of my higher level geeky friends to teach me / help code a plugin for lmce. I figured it would be better if was part of lmce as opposed to myth mainly because im a lmce user and want to learn more about the system / how to help fix & code things within it. I will update when I get started, should be this week :)

“There is no such thing,” Chard says, noting that the moniker is “misleading” because it suggests the technology is standardized through the HDMI camp. “Basically it means that there’s HDMI on one end and a wireless link on the other. … We asked them to start calling it wireless for HDMI.”

Hello, I'm using 0704 and have a PVR 150 tuner card. I'm able to listen to FM radio stations via MythTV. Does anyone know if either LMCE or MythTV provides a way to record FM channels? Thanks.

Hmmm... I'm not a MythTV user so I'll pose a question first... If you can listen to FM broadcasts live inside Myth then i would assume that Myth must support the capability to 'record' those broadcasts too.

In the new 0710 vdr integration we inherently support 'Radio' channels as they are just another DVB channel type that vdr supports. You can do anything with them that you can do with a TV channel... apart from 'watch' them of course ;-)

Well I was checking on the myth wiki and they said something about needing a data source for the stations and programming. i'll try and find that post and add it here.

im still looking for a recording solution but so far no dice.

No, that is a PLC.

You want 2412S PLM (PowerLinc MODEM)

It's $10.00 cheaper.

gotcha. as soon as i find one (hopefully not online) i will give it a go. I have an all x10 setup, do i need to buy insteon modules too?

well radio functions are not officially supported in either...so im going to guess you have to come up with something. im actually looking into the same thing but nothing short of writing my own script will do it seems...

Please let me know how the Insteon Ruby code is working for you.

If you have any bugs, please copy/paste the log..

I haven't head hide nor hair for 2 days...

Is anyone using it?

Dan

i wouldn't say a novice couldn't get it working considering my 1st experience with linux was when I installed it, but I would agree the video is quite misleading IMO. Never the less, im the type that doesn't mind getting his hands dirty so it suited me fine.

as far as the whole dhcp thing, thats really a 'follow the instructions' deal.

Good luck with your media center search.

« on: January 03, 2008, 05:47:05 am »
came across this earlier today after I was able to get audio out of my card
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Fm_radio#What_is_required

basically, I need to reset my sound card... http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=601522

Solution was not to install the package they mentioned, but to run this command :asoundconf reset-default-card

and i used the ivtv-radio driver(?). Anyways, now to add it to myth...

and its been added. and works. now to try it on a md...

Hi,

I would also like to get FM radio working on the pvr-500. I also have the Nova 500 dual tuner that should be able to pick up DVB radio.

Does anyone know if this is planned or if it can be done simply?

Prepared to be a test subject if anyone has any ideas?

have you tried to get it working yet? Mine seems to work except for the fact there is no audio output. I think it has to do with the sound not leaving the fm card because I dont have the proper switch enabled.

Or something like that.

But i've gotten the programs to 'work' for the most part, which is why this is so frustrating.
Anyone know why an audio signal from an internal pci card wouldnt go to the sound card for output? How does myth do it?
