I forgot to add I don't think you need to install any software on the PS3 to use LinuxMCE, I think this because my X-BOX 360 was set-up doring the LinuxMCE install; It saw it and installed all the tools needed for Windows Media Center Extenders.

I don't know if the if Sony's version for sell at www.yellowdoglinux.com supports Linux MCE; but the PS3 version if Kubuntu does; if compiled for it. It's not on the Ubuntu site so you have to Google it.

Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Apple TV (ATV) as Media Director

Will I had to set it up with Windows File Searing and Windows Media Sreaming for it to work with my X-BOX 360 and networked PCs; That's may be all you have to do to get it working with Apple TV.

Installation issues / Re: DVD vs CD Installation

The Linux MCE DVD is more like an OEM and/or full install Windows VISTA DVD.
I wound got DVD mostly; because it's less of pain in the ninck, even if just have it as dual-boot.
I ran some tests and if you need Windows file scaring like if your like me and own a X-BOX 360 you can use it with Linux MCE. I just can't find Web hosting support for VPNs and doing things like watching an missed show of Dirty Jobs over the web; that Windows MCE can with 3rd party apps.

I'm not an fan of wikis so ratter not use 1, mine was juck mailed for so many times that I asked Yahoo to take to down.

Because PS3 runs Ubuntu Linux it's an piece of cake on the PS3, but I own an X-BOX 360 so I to word like to get video to my X-BOX 360; an update is alable form Microsoft if you need or what MPEG 4, H.264, MOV, AVI, DVIX, XIVD, Video CD, Super Video CD, Google Video, TVIO to go, FLV, and/or Amazon Unbox support. If Microsoft wanted the X-BOX 360 to be an Media system on top of an game system I though they wound have give it Windows MCE + DISCover MY Games.

Feature requests & roadmap / Re: CD/DVD Burning Functionality
« on: July 09, 2008, 11:23:45 pm »
I have to boot into Windows MCE to do that because I all redly have Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements under Windows MCE + I needed the power of them for my needs and Crossover Linux may be to show evan with 2GB of RAM and a dual core 4.0 GHZ CPU for this kind of apps to run under Eumluation.
For now because of the copy protection on Hollywood DVDs and Blu-ray DVDs it looks like It'll be burning then under Windows until they fix their wagon.

You can but you have get into Ubuntu to do so; similar to how we have get into XP Pro or VISTA Basic on Windows MCE.  I use both mostly because I have an need for Windows and need streaming to my X-BOX 360.
If it supported windows media center extenders like the X-BOX 360 then like Windows MCE their wound be no PC in living room; the DISCover My Games PC Gaming Console is about the only resone to have an PC with Windows MCE.

I see one thing Windows MCE and Linux MCE have in conman is PC in living room. Now haven't got Linux MCE DVD yet because I don't have cried card + I have on idea if can get the DVD by money onder. I'm asking if we can use things like my X-BOX 360 with Linux MCE to help with that?
