2  LinuxMCE / Developers / Re: Java/ J2ME mobile orbiter on: October 25, 2007, 07:20:14 pm
Hi Guys,

I know nothing about the comms of the orbiter or of Java.

I just wanted to thank David for the suggestion of maybe having a .jar based installer for the Orbiter.

I have a Sony Ericsson W580i Phone, and it will only run .jar apps.

Thanks again and i hope this becomes a reality soon.

Is there a Java (.jar) version of the Orbiter for mobiles??

I have a W580i Sony Ericsson and i can't run .cab or .sis files after sending them to the mobile.

Thanks in advance.
6  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Orbiter Bluetooth not giving connection key. on: October 24, 2007, 07:49:37 pm
I have installed time after time thinking it was something i missed during the installation.

I can send the orbiter software to my phone after connecting my Bluetooth dongle, But when my phone asks if i want to add the dcerouter to my devices, and i select yes, I get a prompt for a passkey.

No matter what i put in the passkey i get failed as the router never gives a key to use.

Then the router goes in circles saying failed do i want to send again.

Any help appreciated.

Okay managed to find a way around this problem.
The quick install DVD does not support Raid! however i downloaded the kubuntu 704 cd and the MCE cd's and installed kubuntu first and then installed the MCE with no problems.

Maybe this will help others with raid.
