Users / Re: Philips ir transceiver as UIRT substitute?
« on: March 15, 2008, 08:26:35 pm »
Have a look at remotecentral.com they have a pronto codes db,

i have seen the lirc embedded transmitter when adding a default infrared receiver (lirc based) too.

I could not find any info on this, please devs if you see this post could you please let us know how the embedded lirc transmit works.

since the transmitter is lirc based it does not support pronto codes, have lirc raw codes been added to lmce ?

Installation issues / Re: Detecting non-diskless Media Director
« on: March 14, 2008, 09:01:29 pm »
As far as i know, the support for disked md was reported as a known issue in 0710, it would have been nice to see this written
somewhere.

However i shall give a go at the proposed trick above since it says in the known issues that in the upgrade from 0704 to 0710
 the mds shall be upgraded.

ill let you know the outcome (if your have any interest)

 Hi Michael,

Try seting up your disked MD using the 0704 version then it should be upgraded to 0710 beta whatever.

 This is supposed to work.

  Hi gazlang,

You first need to download the lmce sources from svn ==> http://svn.charonmedia.org/

look at the instructions on the main page.

Then download Hari's BD sources from http://svn.charonmedia.org/trac.cgi/browser/home/hari/bt-test

then go to the build folder:

cd  linuxmce/lmce/src/BD/

 mv Makefile Makefile.orig

copy hari's sources file to this folder, then

 patch -p0 < BD-javamo.patch

 make

 mv Makefile Makefile.har

 mv Makefile.orig Makefile

 make libBDCommon.so

 mv /usr/pluto/lib/libBDCommon.so /usr/pluto/lib/  /usr/pluto/lib/libBDCommon.so.orig

 cp libBDCommon.so /usr/pluto/lib/

 cp rfc scan sdp /usr/pluto/bin

now restart the core services and you should be done.

  Hi Hari,

Well done ( as usual ), thanks for making the java orbiter become true so much of us where looking forward t that (us non dev people) .

As i'm writting i'm downloading the lmce source from svn and it will take forever before i see the java mo working.

As i'm impatient to see this, would you mind giving us the BD patched binaries so i can try this before i finish compilling.

 All the best,

Rafik

Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Support for sasc-ng
« on: March 10, 2008, 02:20:31 pm »
 Hi Cirion,

Those 3 error messages are just fine, the sasc-ng binary is made and fully usable with those errors,

next go to dvbloopback/src/module than make and copy the dvbloopback.ko modules to

   /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/media/dvb/

add dvbloopback in the /etc/modules file than setup /etc/init.d/vdr to start sasc-ng before starting vdr

 Your so right Collin,

If we could have the channel up/ down and volume it would be far more usable.

I tried remapping the remote buttons (+ and - for volume and up / down for channels ) but this has no effect in vdr where while i type on the keyboard it works.

i have remmaped few keys this way in the ui and mythtv and it always works.

Any advice from you people working on vdr integration ?

Regards,

Rafik

You can install from the repo and see if they work,

else you'll have to build from source.

Andrew suggested to install vdr-dev and use it to build desired plug-ins. I'm gonna to test this way tonight.

Tried it few weeks back and still get the bloody err msg at vdr startup and them plugins are disabled. Hey !

err msg:

WARNING: The following plugins have been left out due to possible binary incompatibility:

I looked deeper and this seem like a versioning mismatch while compilling the plugins but
i cant get any further since the only 2 posts about the err msg on google are in german, as usual with vdr.

So if you hapend to speak german have a look at:

 Hi Michael,

I have the same issue with few plugins, it seem like vdr source in beta3 is quiet different than the official vdr source so unless we have the source we wont be able to go further.
