Actually yes it was deliberate.. I felt it best if I just didn't speak.

And that's the Star Trek TNG theme there.

First, I want to start out by apologizing to Thom. He works really really hard on LMCE and always takes the time to reply to my posts when I have issues. I apologize for not getting this skin officially in the beta and for my lack of communication. I would really like to submit this skin for the future.
Here is finally a demonstration of the UI1. It is really close to being finished now.

35  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: MD's are slow to boot after update to 8.10 on: July 04, 2010, 05:05:12 am
I found something else interesting as well. I installed a third MD and it will boot up eventually as long as no other MDs are online. I can even start a movie and all is good. Then I let it sit and turn on a second MD. And the first one suddenly looses all connections with the movie and audio database. Only 2 movies show up but will not play. I even tried re-syncing from the admin Media sync page. I try rebooting that MD and still no change. It seems that if I have more then one MD going I am unable to access my media.

Lighting still works though.

Anyone experiencing very long boot times on MD's? It used to only take about 2-3 min. per MD now it takes about 10. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Thank you,
I downloaded the orbiter and it works like a charm.

I am unable to locate the link. Can someone please re-post?
39  LinuxMCE / Users / LMCE and Blocking web sites... on: June 27, 2010, 03:01:15 am
There comes a time in every Dads life when he has to block inappropriate content from the internet because his son can't be trusted with the responsibility of being on the web sites he is supposed to.

Are there any ways to block specific web sites using LMCE's admin site?
40  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Is there a windows orbiter for LinuxMCE 8.10? on: June 26, 2010, 12:40:24 am
Thanks Thom. Will I have to run an update in order to get the windows orbiter to download or does it connect to an external link?
41  LinuxMCE / Users / Is there a windows orbiter for LMCE 8.10? on: June 25, 2010, 09:06:04 pm
After recently updating to 8.10 I tried to click on the Windows orbiter for install and noticed that it downloads a file to my system that contains 0k. When I try to run this file I get an error message to contact the vendor because this may not be a valid install file. Is the windows orbiter located on a separate download for LMCE 8.10?

Hey,
Thanks for the complement.
I have been working on an off on the skin for about a year and a half now. The UI 1 is actually a little cooler. I have some screen shots of it on the developers forum.

http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=6997.0

I am actually still working on perfecting it as over time I keep seeing places that it could improve. Unfortunately I work very slowly due to time constraints.
43  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: MythTV fails from lmce (but works from kubuntu) on MD on: June 18, 2010, 10:07:49 pm
I am having an issue with myth failing as well? do you know the command line for updating myth so that I can make sure I have the most current version on my hybrid core and md's?
44  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Question about connecting to Web orbiter and admin page in 8.10 outside the home on: June 18, 2010, 06:53:43 pm
Hey thanks for your help. I am now able to connect remotely again.
45  LinuxMCE / Users / Question about connecting to Web orbiter and admin page in 8.10 outside the home on: June 17, 2010, 07:20:18 pm
I just upgraded from 7.10 to 8.10 recently. I have used 7.10 for about 2 years and had it configured so that I can access my admin page and web orbiter remotely. I have recently tried setting this up in 8.10 and I cannot seem to get it to work.
I went to the security screen and enabled outside connections. I set the port I want to connect on and then I also set up the port forward in the network screen's firewall settings. Just like I used to have to do in 7.10. Everything looks pretty much the same as I remember it. I have done this a few different times since over the last few years I have had to reinstall 7.10 more then once.
Is there a step in 8.10 that I am missing. I have checked the Wiki and i don't see anything different.

Any help would be appreciated.

-Dustin
