4981  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: How to get the update on: October 06, 2007, 03:10:55 pm
well, check your version # under Advanced > Advanced

the current version should read

2.0.44.0709022200 (Mon Sep 3 16:30:39 2007)

if not, it should tell you that it has downloaded new updates and ask if you wish to install them automatically.

4984  LinuxMCE / Users / Cisco 7970 Orbiter Does not finish Generatine on: October 05, 2007, 11:55:43 pm
I seem to be having a slight difficulty with my 7970 phone. It registers flawlessly with Asterisk, but I can't use the Orbiter functionality.

It progresses through pass 1 of 2
and when it gets to pass 2 of 2, it pauses on screen 66......then the progress bar snaps to 0%, and it still says Generating screen 66.

I have attached a screenshot, can someone help me debug this? I have NO clue where to go.

4985  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Error: Orbiter failed to initialize OpenGL on: October 05, 2007, 06:18:15 pm
these problems are well known, and they basically come down to "drivers not there" or "drivers not new enough" on the installation media...and they are able to be fixed.

sounds like you just need to side-step all of this and do a full re-install.

read_ca: it is worth noting that with ATI, you will be able to use either the static UI1, or the Masked UI2... UI2 with compositing is only available to NVIDIA and Via Unichrome Pro II devices currently (driver support).

4988  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: setup on: October 04, 2007, 06:05:22 pm
I will add more detailed information on the wiki, but until I get home...

Basically, you need to go into the Configuration->Devices section of the web admin site...and find your hard drive in the device list...it will be under the computer that they're attached to in the device list...

after deleting the device, wait a bit.. LinuxMCE will attempt to scan and re-add them automatically, and in the process, ask you the questions.

4989  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Can LMCE Send RS232 with the Security Screen ? One-Way is ok on: October 04, 2007, 03:10:48 pm
When creating a new device template, you specify what commands and events that it can deal with. Those events map to GSD strings.

Once those commands and events are added to the device...you can then use the advanced wizard to send commands to the new device you've created.

4990  LinuxMCE / Users / z-wave lag on: October 04, 2007, 02:55:59 am
I am using a ZCU000 attached to a z-wave network of 4 devices... when I tell it to turn the lights off in the room, it does each one individually.... is there a way to get it to do each light at the same time? (same for any dimming, it's a little weird.) Huh

absolutely, try re-adding the dvdcss software...click on it, to remove it, then click again, to add it.

4994  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: New install questions on: October 01, 2007, 01:11:03 pm
for now, it's significantly harder to get the ATI drivers to behave. use NVIDIA if you want all of the features of UI2 enabled.
