LinuxMCE / Users / Help setting up Motorola DCT6416 via firewire

I have been looking in the forums and on the wiki, but I haven't been able to find anything on how to set up my cable box as an input device via firewire. If anyone can give a rundown of what I need to do or provide a link to documentation on it, I would appreciate it.
- Motorola DCT6416 DVR/cable box
- Kubuntu 7.04
- MCE 0704

So after downloading installing Kubuntu 7.04 AMD64 on my brand spankin' new AMD64 computer... Oops. MCE doesn't support the AMD64 version of Kubuntu. So my question is, Are there any plans to support a 64 bit OS?
