Its another internal but when i go to the kubuntu drive and filesystem manager and activate administrator mode the root password login doesnt appear nothing just blank

So when I rip a DVD will it ask me where i want it ripped to? Or does it default somewhere. Sorry havnt found a lot on this.

I have LMCE running on a 40GB drive and then a 200GB also in the box that I want to use just for data. But havnt found where to change my location for storing and ripping?

The intel card was integrated ... but I just went and bought a cheep Trust 5.1 card and threw that in ... it worked with this when I followed those same directions you just gave, I had found them on the ubuntu site as well. so now it works, I have surround sound and even the coax S/PDIF is working. Thanks for the help......
