I have the Gyration Media Center remote, (not the one that looks anything like the Fiire remote)  It's basically the same as the regular Gyration mouse except is has a few extra buttons for volume and such.  Anyway, when I plug in the receiver it won't light up.  Does anyone else have this remote working?

Thanks for the reply.  I do have a working windows installation on the system now with the touchscreen working nicely, but I think the orbiter appearance is totally ghetto looking.  I'll have to look into the linux driver route I think.  I had hoped that lmce might have some kind of auto setup since I always tend to break my installation adding special drivers like this.  I hate to post other peoples stuff on here, but I think LMCE needs to work with the guy over at www.mceguru.com to integrate his frontend control software.  It is the slickest I've ever seen, and is designed on linux.  If only it worked with LMCE instead of Microshafts POS Vista.

I have a 17" touchscreen that I want to mount into the wall in my kitchen.  I plan to have the computer in the basement with the cableing coming up through the wall.  Details aside, how well does linuxmce detect touchscreen controllers?  Will I need find and install the drivers myself?  How well has the interface been tested with a touchscreen?  thanks 

I did a search, but didn't see any posts for it.  Does LinuxMCE support serial control of Directv receivers like the D11?  I see that Mythtv does, which I assume means Linuxmce will as well.

I noticed that the sticky about the 1.1 rc1 installation problem disappeared.  Is this a hint that it will no longer be a problem?  Sorry, just eager to try this out.  I'm fairly linux illiterate, but eager to dump the POS Vista MCE.  Friggin thing never works right.

I read on the Wiki that you planned to release the final version of 1.1 today.  Is that still the plan?  I was trying to install this last night and I get getting installation failures.  I figured it was probably due to the Samba version thing and tried the internet install which failed to connect to most of the software needed.  I'm assuming the final version will have this fixed, so instead of screwing around for hours I figure I should just wait for the release.  Ummm, so anyway, is it coming out today still?
