1  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Getting network video files visible on: August 18, 2007, 05:26:03 am
Having the Windows PC on DHCP is not an option as I have port forwarding active to it. What else can I do? I don't see why it should be this difficult to set up.
2  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Leadtek DTV1000T in MythTV/LMC Problem on: August 17, 2007, 06:03:34 pm
Howdy
I simply cannot get my DTV1000T card set up properly within MythTV, NOTHING I try works. Can someone please provide a step-by-step guide for what I need to do to get this card working?

I also have a DVICO FusionHDTV-DVBT card which I could put in instead if you think this card would work better.
Thanks.

Howdy
I've been trying for hours to get shared files visible from my LMC machine - i've added the right devices/shares as per instructions in other posts, but nothing appears under Media|Videos. I have no idea where i'm going wrong.

Nope, I got sick of banging my head against a wall regarding an OS install that didn't work with the default settings so I installed Vista instead - 2 hours later it was all up and running perfectly.

I get the above message on the computer i've installed LinuxMCE 1.0 to. Nothing in the forums has helped me fix this so far. I don't see any reason this error should be coming up at all.

what port does the web admin run on? I have the same problem but can't access anything from another machine - can't do anything on the linuxmce box itself because the signal is out of range. I'd have thought it would choose a res/refresh the hardware it detects during install would actually support?
