Developers / Re: [Solved] Dealextreme (cheap) IP Camera help
« on: May 21, 2012, 09:19:52 am »
I get it works, you should use generic motion Ip camera template.
I leave my /etc/motion/thread1.conf should have this config.

dcerouter_1027137:/home/cameras/234# cat /etc/motion/thread1.conf
netcam_url http://192.168.80.201:80/cgi-bin/sf.cgi
netcam_userpass admin:1234

noise_level 32

text_left AltilloCam\nAltillo

target_dir /home/cameras/234

# webcam server settings
webcam_port 8001
webcam_localhost off
webcam_motion  on

# sending pluto tripped on/off events on motion start/end
on_event_start /usr/pluto/bin/MessageSend 127.0.0.1 234 -1001 2 9 25 1
on_event_end /usr/pluto/bin/MessageSend 127.0.0.1 234 -1001 2 9 25 0

Hello,
But I don't understand, what is the "legal difference" or what could be "out of the law", if we "play dvds" using lmce MDs or Core (supported by LMCE), or getting a way to "play blueray disks" w/ lmce (that is not supported).

Installation issues / Re: Media Director with video capture
« on: January 07, 2012, 09:45:17 am »
Hi Tony,
I'm very interested in the way that mythtv could record multiple channels of a paid subscription (DirecTV in my case), and I see that you know a lot on this.

Could you help to me to understand and drop some links to read?

Thanks in advance

Hari,
I was looking for KNX devices here in argentina, I only found ABB, I tolk with them and they told to me that your own consumer business unit is not developed yet, then they don't know the home automation product line of your own company - ;-p
But I would like to know if all KNX branches supports transport over powerline (is that transport an standard of KNX?), could you give to me the name of a verdor that supports KNX w/powerline, no matter were it comes because, I will need to import this product to argentina because KNX is very new here.

Thanks in advance,
Hernan

Hello Hari,
I'm using your PLCBUS Driver with 4 dual micromodules.
I have some issues, when I reload the dcerouter but, at the time I got good results, that was the only thing that I can see on it.
I know that KNX it is more reliable, but the difference with the price between PLC ans KNX so high that I thinking that maybe, PLC can be good solution on a hybrid installation (KNX inside the house, PLCBUS for outside lamps).
I would like to ask to you if we can combine this two technologies in order to offer a good price-reliability solution.

Thanks in advance

Check if you install the modules with correct polarity (Fase & Neutral) because if they are inverted then it doesn't work.

Yes, I think that DSC is the way until now.
It still has some issues specially with PNP (because we need to work with). I installed a new 10.04 in order to buid a new device template and run more tests.
It's working fine, the issue that I got, arrise (for some reason) when you need to run "a quick reload router" (DSCRouter loose communication w/ the module) It can't bring back if you just resetting the module.
But If you reboot core and it cames online again.

I think that is PNP again, and it's kind of failure is identical as you can see on 0810 with PLCBUS, because of that I think that is a problem w/ generic serial devices and PNP.
I will need a little bit of help in order to finish the integration. I mean, I'm not a programmer.
