Hi,

I've made a step further. I've checked disks with long offline test with smartctl and everything seems fine....
I've tried to repeat crash several times and it seems like Dataplugin is causing problems (or probably something in media database)...

When I press Audio button on main Orbiter menu I get black screen and Orbiter then restarts...

It seems that Datagrid plugin doesn't respond or at least not in the right time... Is it something wrong in database?
Any other advice how to solve this ?

Do I have any option to debug this more deeply ?

I have been testing my fake foscam webcam with iphone, android and ipad apps for controlling webcams and it works great. Haven't connected it into LinuxMCE but if those apps play with it so should Linuxmce.

Plase report to us about your progression. Also what exactly is a camera you're using ?

Yeah... and us too...we have several installations with 12+ Squeezeboxes... all play in sync... but only with each other and not with MM/MD's

Hi,

I guess that Asterisk trully supports video communication between two video VOIP endpoints. The feature that is probably meant by majority of us it ability to use Embedded Orbiter as video phone- that one is missing.

But since embedded Orbiter already uses LinPhone library for SIP voice only endpoint and LinPhone also supports Video communication there seems to be solvable by: extending GUI portion on Orbiter and enhancing LinPhone library use under LMCE.

Hi,

I'm back with same problems after some time of being OK. I get a lot of "Query failed: mysql server has gone away" or "query xxxx took xxxxmsecs". On of the Orbiters crashed whenever I tried to go into Media Audio list. I also get weird warnings in /var/log/monit.log for not being aberl to read stat for drive etc...

I've performed short test with smartctl, but no error appeared.
I've tried to recreate Orbiter, but doesn't help. I wonder if I can somehow renew media content in mysql base (wipe out, and reread again all media files) ?

Any other advice how to clean this mess a little bit ?

Did you add an external USB drive?

How large is your media collection?

How much free diskspace do you have?

1. I didn't add external drive - it did detect new (but empty) Window share.
2. not sure - pretty large
3. disk usage is at 64%.

Do I understand right, that leaving Core to finish 1. or 2. would help ? Situation seems better now.. But is it normal that during 1. or 2. DCERoouter keeps restarting ?

Hi,

my rock solid 7.10 Core started to crawl.... DCERouter keeps restarting, everything is so slow, main Orbiter works for a few minutes and then it goes back to startup procedure.... I've tried to figure out, what is causing the problems, but couldn't find good reason (I'm not experienced Linux user)...

DCERouter shows several interesting entries, the main that caught up my attention was that SQL queries took long time. I've run mysqlcheck and everything seems fine... I'm confused and would kindly ask for any opinion or pointer where to start checking things... As said I suspect mysql, a lot of errors I get with mythbackend (I don't use it anymore, have tried to disable MythPlugin but no change)...

Hello
I am not able to register a SIP softphone with Asterisk. I took a tcpdump and i can see the SIP REGISTER message being sent from the client to the asterisk server but i do not see any responses. I also took a corresponding tcpdump on the server but i don't see any traces of the REGISTER messages sent by the client. i have eliminated any network issues by connecting a network cable directly from my laptop (running the softphone) to the LINUXMCE server but i get the same results. I have also tried multiple SIP softphone clients but i still get the same result.

I would really appreciate any assistance in figuring out whats going on.

Refresh always helps. Even if I rotate screen, then it's redrawn again and then sensor is refreshed into proper color...

Hi,

A couple of requests now for the feedback on touch. Shouldn't be too hard so will try and look at it this week.

I think there was a couple of other requests that I will look at as well.

wrt. floorplans; what exactly isn't working? The display of floorplans? Just the motion sensor being triggered?

Basically - all touch orbiters are just standard orbiters that run on the core and render to an image file (rather than native libraries). So all orbiter functionality should work AFAIK.

I meant situation when for instance motion sensor is triggered it's painted red on floorplan. Side by side, same floorplan, same sensor - works on Winxp Orbiter, but doesn't change colour on Android one...

It's written in Jquery (Ajax) and needs some sort of xml server (it generates xml query every second and gets values that are displayed...).

Isn't Orbiter Proxy something near being xml server ?  I've written Perl server for it, but I guess that Perl is too much for mini installation....
