Hi,

Sorry i forgot that one, take a look at this http://visualization.tudelft.nl/~paul/grabber/ , this is the one i tried from many dutch xmltv epg grabbers, this one is the best, just follow the guideline on that page, if you don't understand something, just put you're question here and i will answer it.

Hi Again,

An update for the lovers of the xbox maybe want to get a running diskless MD on the xbox :

Xbox Linux is GNU/Linux on your Xbox

The Xbox is a legacy-free PC by Microsoft that consists of an Intel Celeron 733 MHz CPU, an nVidia GeForce 3MX, 64 MB of RAM, a 8/10 GB hard disk, a DVD drive and 10/100 Ethernet. As on every PC, you can run Linux on it.

An Xbox with Linux can be a full desktop computer with mouse and keyboard, a web/email box connected to TV, a server or router or a node in a cluster. You can either dual-boot or use Linux only; in the latter case, you can replace both IDE devices. And yes, you can connect the Xbox to a VGA monitor.

Can't do it yourself? We can install Linux on your Xbox - for free!

See http://www.xbox-linux.org/wiki/Main_Page

Hi,

Some info, some gentoox users have been successfull to boot xbox's from network using etherboot :

 Diskless xBox

It's been 7 loooong days but I have finally got my xBox to boot Gentoo Linux as a diskless thin client using Etherboot. The only problem which remains is that there's a problem with my kernel which means that interrupt 1 is being allocated to something and causes the USB initialization to fail. I don't think that this problem should be too difficult to solve, since it has been done before in the past, and I'm just hoping that one of the xbox linux kernel hackers points me in the right direction so that I can fix it.

I'm planning on using the xBox as a dual booting regular xBox games console and also as a mythTV frontend.

Have you installed mythfrontend on an xBox?

As an update; it's working great. I've been using the xBox dual booted as a MythTV frontend and a regular xBox for several months now. It's booting diskless using Etherboot. I ended up having to use the 2.6 kernel and the problem noted above as to do with the keyboard interrupt as documented on the Gentoo forums page, just search it for ben_dash postings

Hi,

Same problem for me on a asus p5k with an onboard digital sound card with spdif which i use, on beta 4 0710 all worked just fine with the rc1 i see that my receiver gets digital sound ( blue light on receiver when digital sound, ) but nno sound at all, pcm 48khz is working, so just with some mp3 or tv sound it works just fine but no digital sound, not on core not on the diskless md that i have.

Please HELP

Hi,

Sorry this is the right one -->> Core 2 Quad ( typo )

But now you mentioned it, i have also the problem with the i386 version!!! I think it has to do with changing from standard video card to nvidia, then i have an 70 a 80 % memory usage although my media is already scanned, temp workaround is to disbale the updatemediadeamon --disable from the cmd line. Someone else any ideas

So it was not the cpu and it is memory usage.

He Wout,

For this time in English, i'm glad that someone is in need of the dutch language, i do this for a hobby and have little time like everyone else, i translated a lot more since i made that document, for instance i tranlated 95 % of the linux admin website, bit tricky though because some things are also in sql and some only in html and php and java,so besides that i will give you those files as well, the translation is not full accurate, because i made a beginning and later on i will shape some stuff, i only need a place to upload the files you need, maybe you can help me with some stuff and guide me to a upload server or something. Thanks for taking you're time, i also read that you had some mythtv problems, i also have some problems but is stable now. Contact me here or at dave at haakenhout dot nl

Thanx in advance,

with kind regards,

Dave

Hi,

A memory test did the trick, 1gb was faulty, it works now like a charm on 64 bit.

Thnx

Hi,

I bought an asus p5k with an dual core quad cpu on 2400 but i have never had the problem that i can't install linuxmce, but when i put in the dvd he boots just fine, but when i choose the sata disk that has to be used for linuxmce, he goes wrong at copying dvd to harddisk i get erros like call trace, a hope errors with terms like RIP RSP 00 51 ff b5 76 bb, and the install stops right there, i tried no acpi acpi=off and numberes of other strings, itried other linux variants like fedora, plain ubuntu, server desktop alternate version nothing works, but i can install windows so the hardware is good.z

Can someone help out please

Hi,

There is only one tuner listed as in use, even when i start mythtv from a second frontend, or 3rd frontend, so only one tuner can be used instead of four tuners at the same time, that is my real problem.
