« on: December 25, 2009, 12:10:48 pm »
Hi all,

Is has been a while there was a discussion other wether there will be support for the fiire chief in 0810.

My question would be : Is there already support for the fiire chief, because for what i can say, not all the buttons and function is working right now.

Is there a chance to get this working ?

Thnx,

Dave

Hi,

Recently bought an asus m2a-vm hdmi, now i had this md connected with vga no problems, i even managed ( this i will update in the wiki ) to install the ati 8.10 ( not the 8.11 because of an bug ) with all gui options in the v2 ui, but now connected the x1250 onboard hdmi with an hdmi cable to my new television an samsung le40a656a1fxxc, used the xorg.conf of Andrew earlier in this post, all good, bios screen, linux booting off diskless until loading the fglrx drivers, i get an black screen and my tv says searching for devices, this goes good, then my tv says searching for signals and this is the point where it goes wrong, my tv says after the searching for signals after 5 secs, NO SIGNAL, my tv isn't broken, if i connect my hp 8510P laptop with hdmi i get an image and what i said ealier all good until loading the fglrx drivers, am i missing something, oh for i forget, second senario, removed xorg.conf from /etc/X11 rebooted with /usr/pluto/bin/RebootWithAVWizard.sh noting happened, looked like my md is in sort of locked state of the video signal what i DONT have, if reset the md hard with the reset button on the machine all good back to square one, i get the AVWizard, checked DVI/HDMI, checked 1080P ( Tv is Full HD 1080P ) and 60 hz i get an picture but very distorted but the fonts are very readable better then with vga, guys help me out please.

Thnx in advance,

Dave

Hi,

Maybe a stupid action but i was qurious about the orbiter, now it comes, i managed to install it on a samsung q1, but of course problemes with the display driver so far i can see, is there i way to adjust parameters to add the driver for the samsung q1 and touchscreen drivers ( on the new ubuntu mid, the touchscreen works ) , maybe in single mode i can adjust these parameters, but need the root maintenance password, anyone who can help me with this, maybe there are more people with an similar device.

Thnx,

Sambuca,

Did you make any progress of recompiling the Mythtv Plugin, i have the problem also in mythtv 0710 RC2, i have a pvr-500 in my core, couple md's, on these md i watch tv, or trying to watch anyway.
Everytime the router is reloaded i have to turn off deinterlacing in my case or i get the tv image twice on one screen, when i turn it off i can watch tv, but when the md is restarted or the dcrouter is reloaded i have to turn it off again, any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Dave

Users / Using Windows Oribter downloaded via Web Admin via WINE on linux
« on: November 18, 2008, 08:52:50 am »
Hi All,

Yesterday i was playing around with Wine on linux (http://winehq.com) and tried to install the windows orbiter, with many luck i managed to install it and use it on linux ( check attached screenshot )

If you want to try it you have to use the wine version from the site http://winehq.com , not the versions from the repo's .

Have fun,

Dave
