Very interesting, they didn't mention any ETA or cost though.

Exellent enhancements, very nice of you to share them, kudos. Smiley
I'm very curious how these improvements are moving along into 8.10.

You should go with 32-bit instead, there are no real advantages for choosing 64-bit for a LMCE setup.

37  LinuxMCE / Developers / Re: Star Trek Themed UI1 on: January 08, 2009, 03:16:30 pm
Although I've never seen a Star Trek episode, I have to admit that this is an awesome UI.
Have gone through the screencasts myself this week, and it's good to know that when I'm set to give it a try there's hopefully more people than Thom to assist me.

Keep up the great work. Smiley

Google the terms harddisk ghosting and cloning, and you'll get plenty of how-to's
Many expensive programs are availabe as free trials, e.g. Norton Ghost.

Great news. Smiley The VIA Mini, Nano and Pico-ITX motherboards are interesting pieces of hardware to run MD's on, at least for SD material.

Like Samme, I would also like VNC and SSH tunneling to be in the distro.
42  LinuxMCE / Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Boot via Network on: May 05, 2007, 12:13:48 pm
Ok, I didn't konw that. Looked around for info about it on this site but didn't find any.
Anyway, thanks for the answer. Smiley
43  LinuxMCE / Feature requests & roadmap / Boot via Network on: May 04, 2007, 10:43:43 pm
After I've set up the main HTPC with LinuxMCE, I first thought about wanting to be able to easily synchronize it with my laptop, but come to think of it, it would be much cooler to Boot via Network to get instant access to the main HTPC - no synchronizing needed.

A little info about the subject:
