Users / Re: Private still Public
« on: September 19, 2007, 10:34:46 pm »
A "Resyncronize" on root level fixed it.

But, when browsing media. If the user select "Options", then MY username is an option right under public. If the user click them both, the user can see all my private media too!

So, Why is my name there when logged on as other users? Shouldn't it be that users name there instead?

Another thing; I think the logged on user's private media files also should be in the default selection. Not only public?

The same problem is present while searching. All the other users Private files also are displayed, and could be accessed.

Fist, 0704 Rocks! Things are really starting to work now :-) Just loved the "Aspect" menu option.

But.....

Have a hard time figuring this out.
I have some movies that i don't want my 5 years old son to see. Have moved those files to /home/user_1 (which is me)
Have also selected to use pin for switching to my user.

Yesterday, none of those movies showed up when logged on as junior, but if you select options then my username is an option right under public. If i click them both, he is able to see all movies.

Ok, I can live with this. Not a big chance he will figure this out by himself just yet.

But today, all the movies are showing up when logged on as him.

Fatal error: mysql error: [1052: Column 'FK_File' in field list is ambiguous] in EXECUTE(" SELECT Keyword1Type,Keyword1Search,Keyword2Type,Keyword2Search,Keyword3Type,Keyword3Search,Attributes, FK_CoverArtScan,PK_CoverArtScanEntry,FK_File,FK_Disc,FK_Attribute,File.Path,File.Filename,Attribute.Name,Engine FROM CoverArtScanEntry INNER JOIN CoverArtScan ON FK_CoverArtScan=PK_CoverArtScan LEFT JOIN File ON FK_File=PK_File LEFT JOIN Disc ON FK_Disc=PK_Disc LEFT JOIN Attribute ON FK_Attribute=PK_Attribute ORDER BY PK_CoverArtScanEntry ASC....

The other script-errors have beeen fixed in 1.1b2 but this one remains.. :-)

Users / Re: Wrong aspect ratio with Xine video playback
« on: May 28, 2007, 11:23:36 pm »
Have somewhat the same problem. 16:9 TV. DVD movies plays in 4:3 but they ARE 16:9. Some videofiles plays in 16:9 but others in 4:3.
Is there a config-file i can edit to "force" 16:9??

Almost :-)
I had some problems with the orbiter and size. After some hours searching web and local config-files, i tried changing to UI1, then back up to UI2. That did the trick. Think i tried "Full Regen." of Orbiter first also, but not sure. Anyway, try full regen. first. Will save u some time if it works :-)

I myself now have some trouble getting xine to play with correct aspect ratio. DVD movies getting played in 4:3. And some of my Xvid movies looks like they are played tilted and stretched?!. Most of the other xvid/divx movies work, even plays in 16:9.

Strange.

Maybe some config. script that should be run to setup xine, as i didn't use AVWizard_Run.sh.

Let me hear from you if you also get this problem...

You can add modlines in xorg.conf.pluto.Works like a charm. Make a copy, cos if you run the avwizard it will overwrite it. ;-)

« on: May 12, 2007, 11:38:48 pm »
I whish to add command to change Aspect-ratio: Auto/16:9/4:3
Why? Some of my DVDs er playing in 4:3 format, but states 16:9 on the cover..

This could be done in: Device Template # 6 Xine plugin i guess?
But can't figure out how the commands are buildt.

Got it working when i finaly managed to install a nvidia driver. :-)
But some other problems now...
edited my xorg.conf.pluto to work on my 32" 16:9 Lcd-tv.

The "scrensaver" background fills the whole screen, put the menu buttons and video-playback is inside a smaller frame?? When playing DVDs,avi files i get a broad grey border on the right side and at the bottom of the screen....

COOOOLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got it working now! I forgot one thing. Had to edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.pluto file.
This one still said driver=vesa
Have run the AVWIZARD_Run.sh script SEVERAL times, but..... :-)
Another thing. Think i have been fighting with the onboard videoadapter to.
Also set the BUSID to: 1:0:0 witch is my new PCIe card.

Only one thing remains. The screen is sort of "letterBox" I have a 16:9 LCD-TV.
Only have to try some settings in the monitor section i guess :-)

Tried to get help myself, but instead hopefully my postings helped someone else? ;-)

Ok, my mistake. One should ALWAYS use TAB in pcitable, not spaces ;-)

As a couple of other users, i am having trouble with my Videoadapter. Installed the newest driver from nVidia, the screen is somewhat missplaced(guess i fix this in xorg.conf, monitor section), but glx is reported functioning in Nvidia Dislpay application!! But LMCE just gives me UI1 and does not detect OpenGL and so on......

Read in a post here somewhere, that pluto uses lshwd to detect the videoadapter. So, i found the HWID for my adapter. It's an ASUS EN7100GS512 Adapter.
The ID is: 10de:016a
Edited my pcitable-file, said it was a GeForce3 adapter whatever....
Run lshwd and it still reports vesa. deleted pcitable, run lshwd. Clearly it did not find anything about the hardware EXCEPT the videoadapter..... (VESA)
:-))
How is this possible? :-) Event tried to replace the vesa entry in Cards-file with Nvidia, but.....

Help?
