When  you are first setting up a media director it will take a while, i could see 2 hours being a possibility, because it has to build an entire boot image for the media director. However once the image is built, and after you have done all the avwizard setup it only takes 30 seconds or so for it to boot the media director.

@sharlee, yes it is a 16:9 native wide screen projector.

@thenetstriker, so you are saying you used the remote to manually switch modes on the z5 to stretch the picture. That makes sense but it is only a temporary solution as you pointed out. I don't think the issue is with the dvdlibs, i have  a feeling it is either a promblem with xine configuration or possibly with xorg. A little googling found some information but not much.

On a side note, how do you like the Z5? I have an older model and was thinking of upgrading to the Z5. Cheers.

I have noticed this issue as well. Any ripped dvd that is in "letterbox" format seems to not be stretched to fit the screen. However all of my xvid movies that are widscreen appear fine. I am watching them on a native 720p projector. If anyone has some info on this i would much appreciate it. What exactly did you mean by stretching it with a beamer?

As stated above this feature is not yet implemented. A good alternative for now is to install mythgallery and use that to view your pictures. Hope that helps.

I am very happy with the USBUIRT. Setup was easy, it was instantly recognized and i could use it as soon as i reloaded the router.

Homepro is coming out with a new version of their discontinued usb zwave interface. i would wait on that. There seem to be issues with the devices not being recognized on most of the other brand of usb interfaces like the one from intermatic ( i don't know from personal experience, this is what i have learned browsing forums). Pluto staff has said that the boca sticks work but they seem to be very difficult to find. Like i said, i am waiting for the new homepro model. Cheers.

This was a major question for me as well. I too have a large collection of tv series sorted into files such as series/season #/ episode# - episodename.avi

I have successfully imported some of my series with myth.rebuilddatabase and myth does a fair job of sorting them by series at least. It is going to be quit a huge task to add them all manually, however i can only browse them by series/season - episode in the myth screen. They are listed in the pluto/linuxmce videos list simply as SeriesName. For example it says i have 40 video files called Aqua Teen Hunger Force. There are no identifiers until you click on the file to get information. This seems really illogical. The sort by type function does not seem to work either. If i click on TV shows i get no files at all. Infact if i click on anything but "all" there is nothing in the list. There should definitely be an easier way of handling tv shows. Unless i am over looking something here. Any thoughts?

i have used myth.rebuilddatabase to import my existing shows into the myth database. For the life of me though i can NOT get any of the Filter by type settings to work. If i click on anything other than "All" it is completely blank. Does anyone know how to mark a file as a tv show and have it actually show up in the tv shows category?
