91  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: WAYNE-DALTON Z-WAVEŽ THERMOSTAT on: February 08, 2011, 06:03:50 pm
I have one as well, however I can't yet install: I need to run a separate 24v wire to the thermostat for power.  I may need an electrician to do the install.

It's good to hear the thermostat mostly works in LinuxMCE.

This may help save the cost of an electrician.

Heads up on the WD thermostat they are discontinued..  Seems there was an issue with some draining batteries even with the 24v c wire connected.

Find a replacement here

I have been using mine on battery power only for two months now.

I have found adding a usb sound card to the core or MD and running squeezeslave works very well.

I have two outdoor audio zones using squeeze slave with the USB sound card and the AZ amp which auto senses the signal and turns itself on.

yes with 0810 it is unusable  as a media director...... for video at least .

But their forums show accelerated drivers for 10.04.

Try deleting the tricklestar entry from the z-wave device (1754)  and do a reload
you may need to delete unknown devices the you may have ignored as well
