The multi-sensor works oob for temp and motion. looks like we need to add support for light level.
One is on its way to our zwave guru (get better soon hari)
So hopefully we will see support for that as well.

Yes they are,  you can  add the data  logger then you can graph your usage.

so it appears the InTouch CA8900 is the same exact model as the wayne-dalton WDTC-20 but with the much lower price of $45 at some retailers. Looks exactly the same except for the rebranding. I may pick one up

Not sure if this one has the same defect of killing batteries as the WDTC-20 which has been discontinued due to that fact.

To buy a 3 year old CPU is not a very good idea imho

Just my two cents

Please do your homework and setup a lmce system before giving advise on such a specialized system.
The above link is for a pad orbiter not a Media director... again yes someday the systems you point out may be viable and  better.

Just my 2 cents

The Atom 330 is a first-gen Atom: not recommended.
huh Huh

Swift do you even have a lmce system running.

Unless i am drastically missing something nvidia is still the best way to go with LMCE.

not to say the other versions wont be better at one point for lmce  ... but for now the first gen atom/ions make the best md's inmho

Your problem is either a broken connector or cable. Check with your hardware supplier to get a replacement of either.

Thats my vote...

I have several zotacs running on several flavors of lmce never had that problem unless they were not connected to lan.
The Z series from lmcecomaptible.com use zotacs and I have had great luck with them.

What I'm trying to do is setup a situation where I can remotely unlock the door for someone. I have a dog and I'm out of town a lot for work and it would be nice to be able to let someone in my house without having to give them a key.

Currently LMCE does not support encrypted devices.

A couple things to note regarding the Schlage Locks
They do have a  keypad which you can give personal codes for various family members/ friends.
The deadbolt is not motorized. (can not be locked remotely)

I don't want to hijack the thread but none of my serial ports work directly - I mean motherboard mounted serial ports on my core and an MD.  But usb-RS232 is working on those same machines.
  So don't  Grin

There are plenty of threads with rs232 problems. Lets leave this one a question regarding the GC100

Is anyone currently using the serial ports on a GC100 to control any of your rs232 devices?
I am having problems with mine... The TV's 3 different ones, can be controlled through rs322 using usb- serial connections,
I have eliminated sw issues by using GC itest utility and still get now response from the TV's

Thoughts anyone?

Yes I have following that thread.
and Yes i am using usb-serial adapters
I have noticed changes in LinuxSerialUSB (libPlutoUtils)
also my devices work if i manually edit the device data to /dev/ttyUSB0
but as soon as updateserial ports runs device data gets over written.

After recent updates i have lost control over my rs232 devices. They used to be plug and play.... selecting the appropriate serial port in web admin does not help.  If someone currently has a rs232 device working plug and play, could you post the contents of your  /usr/pluto/bin/ListSerialPorts.sh

Thanks

75  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Good idea fore a New Core/Hybrid power usage around 30-60 watt ? on: April 05, 2011, 01:53:31 am
That will work fine for a small lmce network regenning of orbiters will take a fair amount of time   5-12 minutes or so depending on resolution.
Other than that atom generally perform fine.
