That will work fine for a small lmce network regenning of orbiters will take a fair amount of time   5-12 minutes or so depending on resolution.
Other than that atom generally perform fine.

Well obviously your Orbiters will take longer the higher the resolution you choose...but on our Atom 330 based systems we experience about 7-8 mins per Orbiter at 720p. Its certainly good practice to minimise the number of regens on lower powered systems until OrbiterGen can be replaced...;-)

Yes I am running most of my MD's at 1080p

I have used an ssd with an atom 330 as a core. Even with the ssd regens are very painful taking around 15 minutes per MD.

i would highly recommend an LG TV as well. the 2126 device template should control any LG TV that has a rs232 port labeled "control".

I 2nd it
  3rd it
 and 4th it  with my Three LG's 32" 37" and 47"

You need to have two different networks and have lmce be the dhcp server for the internal network.

The best is to use the default ip and dhcp address range for the internal network. 192.168.80.x

and have your media directors as well as file servers on that network in order for them to work pnp.

The only problem i have seen with ATOM based cores is the time it takes to regen the orbiters....  like 15 minutes a piece ... this is even using a SSD

Help make room for new items, barely used test systems and more to be added.

Including a low mileage MSI Media Live.

You can run squeezeslave on multiple devices , low cost routers, switches, NAS, Media directors the cores as well as Windows PC's.
LMCE see's them as squeezeboxes and can control them from any orbiter.

Installation issues / Re: LG LCD Template
« on: February 23, 2011, 10:43:54 pm »
Attention all LG Users: :o

A big thanks to merkur2k

The LG Template (2126) has been reworked and should be pnp for most newer LG TV's
Speed of input switching is amazing.
Many functions have been added and more to come.

Those that would like to use the new template should:
apt-get upgrade
sqlcvsupdate
delete your device.
reload router
let it get redetected.

Again big thanks to Merkur2k for his efforts.   :-*
