I use this case. It has 6 internal bays and is mini-itx as well.

I wonder if a kernel change under 1004 could cause this?

To get better sound I am using http://lmcecompatible.com/#ecwid:category=1598377&mode=product&product=6633130
connected to http://lmcecompatible.com/#ecwid:category=285320&mode=product&product=867437
Using squeezeslave.

I am very happy with this combination.  I actually daisy chain three amps together for various outdoor audio zones.
a project for this winter will entail using the B outputs on the amps for various indoor audio zones.
I am also experimenting with MPD and squeezeplay to get bitperfect audio from LinuxMCE

not the cheapest, but a very inexpensive way to have high quality lmce controlled audio.

You better get a raise and plan on moving in. ;)

For your own sanity I would highly consider a  Dianemo system.

Users / Re: LMCE newb... what do I need?
« on: September 09, 2011, 05:03:05 pm »
I am sure my vm's are not fully optimized.... Thanks for the hints  I  have run my system for several months with as many as 7 md's  from a virtual core.   Other than the rare drop of my USB passthrough and  long screen regens it worked pretty well. The main reason I dropped It from VM was Voip was very choppy.   There probably is a tweak for that. But the need for reliable voip won out.  I haven't tried lately but plan to once the voip is working for 1004.

Mike,
Thanks
any good docs you could point us to.
Currently I am running KVM on a proxmox ve server
I do have an 80gb ssd I could add for mysql use any hints on that

I have found vm's work fine for testing for both core and MD's but as far as a production system It don't cut the mustard.

as far as insteon goes ... lmce currently has better support for zwave.
Do you guys have stock in your electric companies ;)
You can run lmce on a 35 watt core

Users / Re: Z-wave Smoke Detector repeater?
« on: September 06, 2011, 08:10:10 pm »
From my understanding you do not want to bottle neck everything through one routing point  so you my want a few wired devices in that area.
So if two sections of the house is connected by a long hallway creating multiple paths with multiple devices will be more reliable.

Most Z-wave  outlets have routing and fit this application nicely.

The aeon Z-stick and the minimote  work very well together.

Leviton is a very nice product but kinda pricey.
I haven't really  found compatibility issues amongst vendors.

Backup your system using Clonezilla, and please try the RC out so we can give feedback to the devs. You can then restore your old system if you wish.

Cheers,
Matt.

I 2nd this

I feel fresh installs on real hardware is very important for Q/A
There have been far many more Virtual Installs ;) than installs on real hardware.
Lets try to dig up any gremlins that wont show their faces on a apt-upgrade or in a virtual environment.

Which snapshot did you use ... the conf files should be fixed as of 24255

But check http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php/topic,11851.0.html
for a possible fix
