Yeah, Remove those lines from your /etc/apt/sources.list
then do: sudo apt-get update

Keep in mind, you'll need Kubuntu, not Ubuntu..
I suppose you can install the KDE after....

I'm at 25.91% downloading the torrent,
When I started downloading, there were 6 peers, now there's 21...
looks like a few people are downloading!  hehe
The more, the marrier! (and faster)
Just don't forget to keep seeding it once you get it.. (help others out)

They've addressed most of your concerns in 1.1, VESA and MythTV for sure...
I'm downloading 1.1 now, I'll be your guinea pig... will let you know how my install goes..
I have myth working perfectly also, (in Ububtu Fiesty) , I've got a dual boot, just in case...

I believe you need Kubuntu Fiesty..

Part of Fiesty is an update to X11...
Looks like the disks may contain a livecd version of it... I'm still downloading the torrent...
I downloaded the Kubuntu Fiesty DVD a couple of days ago when I first noticed the wiki..
I've installed kubuntu and running it now... all setup ready for 1.1. :)

Good luck!

Looks to me like either the orbiter plugin is killing DCERouter or the Lighting plugin is killing it...
I could be wrong, I'm still learning myself...

Users / Re: Cable Card Support
« on: May 16, 2007, 07:57:25 pm »
If I'm not mistaken, MythTV already supports a multitude of cable cards...
Do you have one now?  What kind/model?

Chances are it's supported by myth, and you should be able to find drivers for it..
mythtv supports a HUGE library of tuner cards, ATSC, DTV, Cable, DVB-T, DVB-S, DVB-A, etc..

Hope this helps,
(I'm just browsing while linuxmce 1.1 downloads :))

Good Luck, let us know if you find support for your card...

Version 1.1 uses Kubuntu Feisty.  They switched from gnome to KDE to address all the video issues people were having... read the recent changes on the main page.. www.linuxmce.com

Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Down with DishNetwork's DVR!

You could always set up a RAID system, that addresses both the speed and the size issues.
Hard Disks have come way down in price, might be worth checking into a hardware based raid sata card or even possibly a NAS server.
