Feature requests & roadmap / Can 1366x768 be added to the AVWizard?

1366x768 is a standard resolution on HD-Ready LCD TV's.

In the latest Nvidia driver this resolution is finally supported.
It works for me without modelines

I hope this driver also makes it in to 0710 final.

Users / Anyone know a PC adapter for Jung Funk Gira?

I have a Jung Funk RF remote that controls a the lights in my apartment.

The hand held remote to the left, and the wall mounted remote on the right.

In the entrance and in the living room there are wall mounted receivers from Gira and on top of them there is a button to turn on/off and dim. They look like regular light switches. In the entrance there is also a mini remote that also control the lights. The remote here looks like a part of the button above but if I pull the frame of, the frame is just held by the button that connects to the Gira receiver in the wall. The remote uses its own CR2032 lithium battery.

Anything I find on Jung Funk or Gira is in German. I don't understand anything without Google translations and those get kind of funny but is not very helpful in finding what I need.

I'm not sure, but this system could be EIB. Anyone know?

I'm hoping to find a RF adapter for use with LinuxMCE. USB or Serial.

Installation issues / Hauppauge HVR 4000 how do I configure MythTV...

I have installed drivers for my Hauppauge HVR 4000 and I do see it in MythTV, but althoug i can find loads of Wiki's, Forums, Blogs, Guides and PDF's on how to install MythTV and how to install drivers, I cant find any about configuring DVB in MythTV and scanning sattelites.

By trying to add the card, i do find it under DVB DTV, but when trying to scan for channels I find nothing on Hotbird...

Has anyone managed to setup a DVB-S card of any type in LinuxMCE?

Anyone know a Guide for MythTV and DVB (preferably newer than 2005).

Users / Can flikr be disabled on an MD?

One of my MD's is an old laptop, and it works great as an diskless MD. But if I leave it alone flikr starts and the fan starts... If I leave it more than 15minutes the laptop is frosen and unusable. The only way to get it working again, is by rebooting.

Having a laptop fan going at full speed in the bedroom is not very WAF. So I have to turn it of after every use.

But when wathing tv shows or movies, the fan does only start for a few secs whenever the cpu is hot.

Flikr shows i nice, but I woul like to be able to disable it on this MD. Is it possible?

I have 3TB with TV shows, and I'm looking for a way to bulk edit tags on them.

From what I can find, I can only edit one item in the Admin Web, or auto search for covers and select stuff for every single item.

For TV shows I'd like an ability to grab a screenshot and use that as a cover.

The font is way too big for my HUGE screen A lot of the UI is a bit unreadable, since the fonts are to big for the buttons.

Is there a way to change that? If not, could it be an option?

Users / Did someone destroy PocketPC 2003 Orbiter?

My Dell Axim X5 has been working great, but now it says:
"Last update failed. Should I try again?"

"We recconmend you chose 'yes' unless the updating keeps failing, in wich case please notify Pluto Support."

If I press Yes it goes in to a black screen and if press no it goes in to a black screen... I see the loading bar first working it's way up...

I have tried deleting and reinstalling, rebulding an so on... Nothing helps

Installation issues / [SOLVED!!!] Is it possible to set the resolution to 1366x768?

My 40" LCD TV has a native resolution of 1366x768@66hz.

Is there a way to set this in Linux? I tried following this guide:

I have googled a lot, but I cannot find anything on this subject... Does the Nvidia drivers support it? Does LinuxMCE support it?
The GFX adapter is a Gforce 8600GT.

Developers / I am forbidden to download the Designer...

Wanting to help translate LinuxMCE to Norwegian, I tried downloading the Designer from this page

When I press the link on that page I only get this error:
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /download/installers/windows on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Installation issues / Epia MII-1200 -> Kernel panic

I ripped out my Carputer to try it on PXE as a MediaDirector....
It just stops with a Kernel panic error.

Has anyone else got this board to work?

Installation issues / Diskless media director - How many hours does it take to boot?

I have installed a server with Core only, and followed the Wizard in the admin site.
I have also installed a Orbiter in Windows Vista.
I have run the Diskless orbiter wizard.
I have given up trying to boot my HTPC wich has a Asus 8N32-SLI Deluxe mainboard with 2 PXE enabled "Kernel Panic" cards.

Now, trying to boot a diskless laptop with PXE, it connects to the core and my Orbiter asked me a few questions and a lot happens on the Media Director exept getting a GUI. After a while it stopped after "* Starting Samba daemons..."

I have tried rebooting the MD, and rebuilding it in the Admin site. Now I have tried waiting for 2 hours...

How many hours does it take to boot diskless?
Will Linux MCE support at least one of the Nic's on an Asus 8N32-SLI Delux motherboard any time soon?
