did a new install from scratch. now it doesn't happen anymore...
hi,
installed yesterday core on my new server with the "web-installation". Today i wanted to install my MD (this runs also on my old core). At first i called /usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh and this ended with a error, that it couldn delete a tmp-dir because it is busy?!?! tried to start the md and now it loops with:
Begin: Running /scripts/nfs-premount... Done. nfsmount: need a path
After a lot of loops i come to a initramfs. Any suggestions?
thanks avajon

LinuxMCE / Users / Car PC

hi, last week i bought a car and was looking for a "smart radio" and found www.centrafuse.com. Okay, this is not open source and it is not Linux, but it has some really cool features like optical park assistence or tire pressure messurement. So, my idea is: build in my car such a pc put a UMTS-Stick (in austria it is not really expensive) and synchronize the music from LMCE to the car. I also want to write a plugin/batchjob for centrafuse to send the GPS position of the car every 10 minutes to LMCE. That said, i want to have a smart House and a smart Car Has anyone other ideas for a combination of these two systems? Or does anyone know a piece of linux software with the functionality of centrafuse? regards avajon

LinuxMCE / Users / Problem with Respond To Events
|
on: January 19, 2010, 04:20:09 pm
|
|
hey,
i try to respond to Temperature Changed Events. But it never gets fired. Only the Set Point Temperature Changed gets fired. Is it possible to use the changed value and take it as a Parameter for a shell script? I need the changed value in a shell script. I know that i can start the script with App Server and Spawn Application, but i don't know how to insert the changed temperature. Any Ideas?

hi,
i don't use sasc-ng in the new 810 beta2 but i used it before. You don't need to change myth, just install sasc-ng, start it and then use the new video-adapters in myth.

hi, last week i upgraded from 810 alpha to 810 beta2. there were some problems but i could solve everything - except mplayer. (i didn't use mplayer before, so i don't know if it works before update). I tried to play a 1080p mkv movie, so i changed the fileformat in webadmin to Linuxmce BlueRay and played it on my md. but i only get a black screen with this log output from mplayer: 05 01/08/10 11:21:11.807 MPlayer_Player::Log I'm a parent <0xb7142b90> 05 01/08/10 11:21:11.807 MPlayer_Player::Log [EngineOutputReader] EngineOutputReader - started <0xb6140b90> 05 01/08/10 11:21:16.943 MPlayer_Player::Log [EngineOutputReader] Analyzing line: |MPlayer UNKNOWN-4.3.2 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team| <0xb6140b90> 05 01/08/10 11:21:16.972 MPlayer_Player::Log [EngineOutputReader] Analyzing line: |mplayer: could not connect to socket| <0xb6140b90> 05 01/08/10 11:21:16.973 MPlayer_Player::Log [EngineOutputReader] Analyzing line: |mplayer: No such file or directory| <0xb6140b90> 05 01/08/10 11:21:16.973 MPlayer_Player::Log [EngineOutputReader] Analyzing line: |Failed to open LIRC support. hi hari,
you said "Just compile it" - is this so easy? I checked out the trunk version of EIB-eibd and tried to execute "make", but without luck. I think i have to do some preperations - but i don't know what to do. Is there an easy way to compile only this sources?
