I get the same thing here. I've made it all the way through the install and I was ready to setup Mythtv, and when I went to start the setup I got this black screen with only the mouse pointer.

Try going to http://IPofCORE on another machine on your network to setup some configuration stuff...

I just downloaded and installed 1.0, and I'm seeing the same issue. I'm getting this progress bar filling up across the bottom, then the error happens.
