« on: July 17, 2007, 10:13:00 am »
the problem is that you have some ubuntu mirrors that are not working, that's why you can't install mysql. please choose another mirrors when you are running the installer.

i have an AMD Athlon X2 and i managed to install LMCE without any problem.

maybe this will do the trick:
1. clean apt-get: apt-get clean
2. go to /var/lib/apt/lists and do mv lock lock.old.

then , rerun the installer.

Users / Re: DVD iso playback?
« on: July 09, 2007, 08:50:59 am »
you have to convert the dvd directory to a image file, like an iso, but with .dvd extension. mkisofs can help you to do this. the command should be something like mkisofs -o name_of_file.dvd directory_of_dvd/

a possible solution can be deleting eth0:0 and configuring eth1 with the desired ip.

unfortunately, this feature is missing from linuxmce.

searching on the internet, i found this: even if the user has a gentoo, it should work also in kubuntu if this is the same problem. but first, i recommend only to load the modules required by this board: modprobe saa7134 card=84 tuner=54. then, if this is not working try what that user done.

if you can open a terminal on the linuxmce computer, login as root and type screen -r. then paste the output here.

try to install gksu (apt-get install gksu).

Users / Re: WM5 Orbiter

the only phone that was tested with mobile orbiter is a Treo 700W which runs also WM5. i think that installation of orbiter depends by configuration of the phone and also if the windows mobile OS was updated with some patches from MS. but this is a only a presupposition.
