How would I access the database?

Installation issues / Sip.conf location

I'm trying to setup a spa3000 under 10.04. I'm having trouble getting the trunk host name resolved by Asterisk. The FXO port is fine.

When I apply changes to the trunk under the webadmin I can see them being applied through the log available in Asterisk's own CLI so I know they're being written somewhere and then read by asterisk I just don't know where. I don't have any sip.conf under /ect/asterisk.

Can anyone tell me where the SIP trunk configuration file is stored?

Thanks!

Is there any way to reset Asterisk to its original settings?
I say Asterisk and not FreePBX because when I change the default incoming behavior in FreePBX to ring the landlines, I still get the dial tone.

What settings connect Asterisk to FreePBX?

0810 still. I have two MDs and the phone line hooked through the Sipura and neither ring or are able to dial out. I can make internal calls, though.

Thanks to everybody to their advice. The settings from the wiki above are exactly what I need. I'm still having some difficulty, however.

When I dial my landline from the outside (through a Sipura 3000), I get a dial tone. I can then dial an extension and it works but there is no recording. It does not matter which house mode I'm in--this happened after I changed some items on the phone lines' setting page. It's like FreePBX doesn't integrate at all into LinuxMCE anymore.

I also have an issue where no matter what I dial going out my landline always dials its own number on the phone companies' line. I followed the Sipura3000 wiki and am really stumped on this one.

Did I mess something up? I've tried to re-add my phone line to reset any settings in FreePBX but it remains unchanged.

Again, thanks for your thoughts.

I love being able to have incoming calls trigger events--stopping music, etc.--and responding to my set status--Away, Home, etc. I am not a fan, however, of people calling in and having to select a user to call. It's been creating a lot of confusion and I just don't think it's practical for me. I've been searching for a way to disable the user selection and have Asterisk only ring one user's voicemail and all the extensions.

Is this possible?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Found my answer in the old pluto archives.
As always, thanks to all for putting up with my level of *un*organization!

Installation issues / 0810 Xine and Hulu Crash
« on: February 12, 2012, 02:46:24 am »
I've posted about this in users but I've since made some progress so I thought I'd refile it as I'm now sure that this was a direct product of the instillation process.

Sound is working on my system. I can run firefox and play a youtube video but still no hulu or xine. Both start for a second and then crash. I've narrowed the problem down to this log section:

Any ideas as to what could be happening? This is on a fresh 0810 final install.

I just reloaded my machine to make sure. This is definitely affecting the most recent 0810 installs. I cannot run hulu or xine, but the dce wrapper (I think) stays active so that controls stay up on orbiters and the MD doesn't return to its main menu. Is there any other log that would be helpful? My sound is also not working, if that is related.

I don't actually. I did some research and as I understand it airplay uses ipv6. I deleted the config file and now radvd is running but I don't think it's actually assigning addresses. In web admin it's asking me to put in a public prefix; however, I can only populate each blank with three digits and not four. Is this normal? Am I missing anything?

Does this configuration assume that the core's lan port is eth0 and wan is eth1?

I've been trying all weekend to try and get my SPA3000 to register with FreePBX. I've tried the procedures in all three different wiki articles as well as some others that were not associated with LinuxMCE. FreePBX is giving me these errors. Could they be keeping the device from registering?

Installation issues / Screen Power
« on: December 28, 2011, 09:37:10 pm »
I have an MD hooked up to a standard touch monitor through DVI. I bought it for ten dollars at goodwill and absolutely love it for my kitchen; the only problem is that the LinuxMCE screensaver dims the screen to black after a bit instead of cutting off the signal like a normal computer hooked to a standard monitor. Because of this, the monitor's back light always stays on instead of going to sleep. I've tried to adjust the Kubuntu screen saver but it doesn't seem to affect LinuxMCE's.

Can anyone suggest a way to dim the screen or give me the package name that LinuxMCE uses as a screen saver?

Thanks!

Could someone point me to the script that installs Airplay so I can try to see what happened? Thanks!
