So I got it connected.  Both the Zwave mcv dongle and the thermostat are installed and paired. (The Zwave symbol on the wayne dalton themostat is blinking.)

Now I'm trying to change the scenarios but no matter what I don't see a change in the thermostat itself.  Thoughts on the picture?

So are you saying based on the screen shots the MCV dongle looks to be installed?

If so, then my next question is to actually connect the thermostat and configure it.

I followed the steps in the wiki.  But I can't seem to even figure out if it is installed correctly.   Even when I go to the admin page I don't really see any way to setup the thermostat.

I took 2 screenshots and can take more if needed.  I would greatly appreciate the help.

I just bought one of these wd thermostats and have the MCV usb dongle.

I plug the MCV dongle into the server and it loads up the 'lighting wizard'.

I've tried to setup a climate device/scenario but can't get this to work.

Any thoughts?

Never figured it out but just installed 7.10 and it is working great.

Did this ever get solved?  I'm having the same problem.

My install is hanging on formatting the main partition of my drive.  I have tried 3 different hard drives (2 sata and 1 IDE), different burned DVD, Tested all hardware with 2 different all inclusive utilities and STILL can't get past the partition formatting piece.

I even tried doing the install via booting into the LiveCD and formated the partitions that the previous install created hoping that it would just skip the formatting.  Thoughts?

Here is a link I found.

Not sure if it is still valid after a month.

It says that the picture viewing isn't avalable yet.  This was as of April 4th.

http://forum.linuxmce.com/index.php?topic=1405.0

Can anyone answer this?

I even tried logging in as root and I still can't see images inside the LINUXMCE gui in the "media > Pictures" area.

I copied a couple of Jpegs into the "/home/public/data/pictures" folder.  When using the menu it doesn't show previews and when I open the file it just shows up blue.

Changed the permissions of the "/home/plublic" folders and files to 777.

Any Ideas?

I have tried several times to get this squared up.  I tried installing onto several different systems with different configs.  All have problems of some sorts.

So I'm trying to get this working in VMware to see if this will ever work.   I boot to the Ubuntu gui first.  Then click on LinuxMCE.  It first loaded to a gray screen.  When I changed resolutions it came up with a transparency issue.  I switched the UI2 to UI1 in the Media Director section on the web interface.  Now  I just get a black screen.

I tried loading an orbiter on a windows computer but it says that "Orbiter cannot register with the router."

Here is the log for pluto.
