Use this version: http://www.cutlersoftware.com/ubuntusetup/latest.html

Put this iso in the same directory of wubi: http://osmirrors.cerias.purdue.edu/pub/ubuntu-releases/7.04/ubuntu-7.04-beta-alternate-i386.iso

Works for me. :)

Wubi is still a bit rough on the edges....

There is nothing in the specs that I have seen that requires you to have it right up to the internet to work, so you can put a firewall, a router between it and the internet if you feel the need to.

Actually, if your going to use the asterisk VOIP part for making and receiving phone calls, you'll need to configure your router/firewall (if you use one), and parts of your asterisk configurations.  You may have to get sipx ser or another proxy setup.
And it can be a real headache if your multiple nats.

I maybe able to help if you have any problems getting asterisk working right, and modifying it to your wishes..  Let me know.

Users / Using Wubi Windows Installer for Ubuntu.

Just wanted other's to know, Ubuntu can be installed on a windows box without repartitioning, and allowing easy removal without risk to windows, it works just as good. :)

If there ever gets to be a easy setup iso, then maybe wubi can install it on existing MCE machines for people wishing to quickly try it out without risk, and without much hassles!

Wubi: http://www.cutlersoftware.com/ubuntusetup/wubi/en-US/index.html

(This has problems if you have multiple partitions)  Check the wubi site for support.

4. Would it be possible to have two motherboards running in the same case, each with multiple pci addressable video outputs and multiple capture devices, bridged with gigabit ethernet crossover cable, running mythtv, so you could offload encoding to the least used board?

1. Would it be possible to multiseat X as show here: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Multiseat_X
Along with multiple capture cards to create a multizone security device showing on several screens at once with the capability to switch what's shown on each screen, plus control devices like magnetic door locks through automation.

 2. Could I change the PXE boot image, for use in school inviroments etc.

 3. Could telephone and TV viewing be set up using a billing plugin, such as the ones available for asterisk.  (Does mythtv have billing plugins?)
