Users / MythTv > HDPVR Trying to set channel?
« on: September 11, 2012, 03:22:34 pm »
this is my first time trying to get mythtv to work so i am not sure if this is correct. i have a cable box and HDPVR. im on version 1004. i am not trying to have linuxmce change channels. Outside mythv i have a "live tv" button on the orbiter that seems to play off the hdpvr just fine so i know the hdpvr is working.

i followed these directions from the hdpvr wiki on mythv.

Enter option 4, "Input Connections." Connect the video source to the appropriate input on the HD-PVR. Important Note: You must set a channel change script for the HD-PVR to work properly. If you don't care about channel changes, you can set it to /bin/true, but there absolutely must be a channel change script defined. Important note 2: You must leave Preset tuner to channel empty or LiveTV and channel changes will not work.

but when i press TV i see this in logs. After that linuxmce suggests i reset the mythtv backend.

I am trying to get the Insteon Smartlink 2412N working form the directions provided in.

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Insteon_-_Setting_Up_PLM_Template

The template is Plug and Play, configuration should have been taken care of for you.
Goto LinuxMCE Admin Website-->Wizard-->Devices-->Interfaces
Add device-->Template Id 1932 Insteon PLM
For 2412N
Add device -->Template Id 2197 Smartlinc

in addition to that i have set the ip address and mac address inside the template.

the device does not register. there is no log file for the device.   if i try to send command or reset the device i get the following in:

==> DCERouter.log <==
