Users / WebOrbiter 2.0
« on: May 23, 2011, 06:51:03 am »
Hello,

my home gets ready and now I am playing around with WebOrbiter.

This Orbiters I plan to use or I do use:
Nokia N900 - works without problems

iPhone 4
mini6410 with 7" Touchdisplay and Android (screen resolution 800x480)

I have generated 2 generic Webdevices. One is called iPhone an one is called ARM11 (for the mini6410). Then I generated 2 Orbiters.
Device ID 184 is for the mini6410 - Size=480p
Device ID 185 is for the iPhone - Size=960x640(iPhone4)
I also plan to use a iPad2 as Orbiter - I think the Size will be 1024x768 - so I have to generate a third generic Webdevice and another Orbiter for the iPad.

My Problem at the moment is, that, if I do a Quick Reload Router sometimes the iPhone shows the correct Orbiter resolution and sometimes the mini6410 shows the correct resolution.

Is there a way to tell the iPhone App what Orbiter to use?

Johannes

Users / Ruby Problems
« on: April 20, 2011, 04:16:55 pm »
Hello,

I am playing with Ruby Codes and some strange things happen:

This is the code I try (Extended Editor):

#system("tdtool --on 4")
command = "*1*1*"+device_.devdata_[294]+device_.devdata_[295]+"##"
log("Light On")
conn_.Send(command)

If I hit "update" (Extended Editor) the code looks like this:

#system(\"tdtool --on 4\")
command = \"*1*1*\"+device_.devdata_[294]+device_.devdata_[295]+\"##\"
log(\"Light On\")
conn_.Send(command)

As you can see, there are some \ added...

I use Firefox 3.6.16.

Any ideas?

Users / Microsoft Kinect and LinuxMCE

Hello,

what do you think, would this be a replacement for a IR-Remote?

http://kinecthacks.net/kimemote-public-beta-0-4-now-available/

The problem is, I am not that big programmer that I could write some code.
I think this would be a very "cool" way to use the MD's OnScreen Orbiter

Users / Soundcard suddenly stopped working
« on: October 12, 2010, 06:18:19 pm »
Hello,

I have got a new problem with my soundcard - a view days ago everything worked like it should. But now the soundcard in my Core/Hybrid does not work.

aplay -l tells me:

**** Liste von PLAYBACK Geräten ****
Karte 0: default [C-Media USB Audio Device   ], Gerät 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
  Untergeordnete Geräte: 0/1
  Untergeordnetes Gerät '0: subdevice #0
Karte 1: I82801DBICH4 [Intel 82801DB-ICH4], Gerät 0: Intel ICH [Intel 82801DB-I
  Untergeordnete Geräte: 1/1
  Untergeordnetes Gerät '0: subdevice #0
Karte 1: I82801DBICH4 [Intel 82801DB-ICH4], Gerät 4: Intel ICH - IEC958 [Intel
  Untergeordnete Geräte: 1/1
  Untergeordnetes Gerät '0: subdevice #0
Karte 2: default_1 [C-Media USB Audio Device   ], Gerät 0: USB Audio [USB Audio
  Untergeordnete Geräte: 0/1
  Untergeordnetes Gerät '0: subdevice #0

The USB Audio Devices are still ok - they work with squeezslave
But the Intel 82801DB-ICH4 does nothing.

When I start alsamixer the Intel 82801DB-ICH4 is the standard sound device.

When i do:
aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav - I get this:

ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1008:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
aplay: main:590: Fehler beim Ãffnen des Audiogerätes: Device or resource busy

I hope you can help me!

« on: September 28, 2010, 07:22:21 am »
Hi,

first of all - all developers did a great job - LinuxMCE is the best peace of software - Thanks

At the moment i have in use or is planed:
1x Core/Hybrid - with two squeezeslaves - works great
1x Cisco 7970 - works great
1x MD - Asus EeeBook - Bedroom - works great
1x Eken M002 with WebOrbiter 2.0 - works great
1x MD for the Kitchen - not built
1x MD for the Bathroom - not built

Also in process is doing a template and ruby-code for the Biticino bus-system (light, climate, audio)

And now i whant to execute a shell-script using a scenario button - is this possible?
Is it also possible to shutdown the Eken M002 by sending the House to sleep-mode?

Users / Orbiter button to start and shut down MD
« on: July 17, 2010, 09:37:08 pm »
Hi,

did someone try this:

Is it possible to add a button (in the lights section) that executes the wakeonlan command to start a MD or this command "ssh root@192.168.80.2 init 0" to shutdown a MD.

So it would be possible to start a MD by pressing a button on an orbiter.

Thanks

Users / CISCO 7970 LinuxmCE 810 - TERM70.7-0-1-0s not found
« on: July 17, 2010, 07:08:33 pm »
Hi,

I got a CISCO 7970 phone with SIP firmware. The phone was detected by LinuxMCE, the extension was created, the Orbiter was created but the phone tells me an error - the file TERM70.7-0-1-0s was not found.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Users / Mini MD
« on: July 16, 2010, 10:33:12 am »
Hi,

I hav a bus-system with audio devices installed in my home. So the bus-system has a "line in" where i can connect a MP3-Player. When playing MP3 I can listen them in all my rooms where the bus-audio ist installed.

My idea is:
to build a "Mini MD" that only plays MP3 files, no video playback is needed. This "Mini MD" schould be as cheap as possible.

A Asus EEE-PC is to expensive for this case.

Did anyone build a "Mini MD"?

Thanks
Johannes

Users / Bticino SCS MyHome Bussystem
« on: April 28, 2010, 06:38:06 am »
Hello,

in my home i am using the Bticino MyHome Bussystem http://www.bticino.com with the OpenWebNet protocol
http://www.myopen-legrand.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=35

I can use thins command on my LinuxMCE Core to control the Bussystem:
example: echo "*1*1*13##" | netcat 192.168.1.1  20000

Is it possible to create some scenarios like light on or off so that I can use LinuxMCE with my Bussystem?
I looked around but I did not find some information how to integrate this.

Please post some links or other information.

Thank you!
