I was just wondering if anyone has tried this patch for mythtv yet http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4872

Installation issues / Mythtv frontend won't load
« on: July 11, 2009, 09:49:37 pm »
I'm using 810 and when I try to watch some tv through linuxmce the frontend for linuxmce doesn't load and it goes into the mythtv gant menu. After about half a minute after it reaches the gant menu it will flash a screen saying that mythtv is having problems and goes back to the flickr slideshow.

The contents of spawn_mythfrontend_23861.log are below and give some clue, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure this out.

I couldn't find liblibmythfrontend.so anywhere on my computer. Mythtv works just fine from KDE though. Maybe it's an installation issue? This is the second install that I've done with the same results.

Installation issues / DVD playback issues
« on: June 17, 2009, 07:59:13 pm »
I recently installed linuxmce 8.10 and the restricted software package. I can play DVDs that I've previously burned, but when I put in a normal DVD I see the "Disk detected in drive" screen and it keeps popping up even if I close out of the screen. I was able to play normal DVDs if I went to the KDE desktop and played them with xine there. Anyone have any clues why it's doing this?
