Hello All,

I tried to find information via the wiki and forums regarding my question, but I haven't found anything. Just wanted to know if the code supports the new roku devices in version Linuxmce 12/14.04 and beyond.

Thanks,

Ernesto

Hello,

Has anyone had any luck with setting up a Analog phone adapter to be able to receive calls via Asterisk on LMCE 8.10? My issue is that I can make calls from my cordless phone, which is connected to my GrandStream Adapter, but when I place an inbound call from my cell to my home, only the MD's ring. I have the settings configured to ring on all devices, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ernesto

Feature requests & roadmap / HDHomeRun Prime
« on: June 15, 2011, 10:31:46 pm »
Hello Devs,

Are there any plans to add support for the new (at least to me) HDHomeRun Prime device in LMCE? I'm hoping that there isn't much difference between the version that most LMCE users already and this one, but I'm hoping this can be added to the list of supported device. This seems to be the only CableLabs certified device that can be used with a Cablecard and MythTV. Just thought I'd put it out there for those who might not have been aware.

Thanks,'

Hello,

I'm currently troubleshooting an issue with my two of my asterisk extensions where I'm unable to make outbound calls from my Diskless MD, and my Grandstream HT503. Both devices appear as hosts in asterisk, but at first they were "Unspecified". I gave them static address under the "host" field in sip_additional.conf file, and they now show up as the following:

Quote
Name/username              Host            Dyn Nat ACL Port     Status
broadvoice/XXXXXXXXXX     XXXXXXXXXXX        N      5060     Unmonitored
202/202                            192.168.80.124       N      5060     OK (8 ms)
201/201                            192.168.80.2          N      5061     OK (9 ms)
200/200                            192.168.80.1     D   N      5061     OK (15 ms)
4 sip peers [Monitored: 3 online, 0 offline Unmonitored: 1 online, 0 offline]

Unfortunately, I still can't make calls from anywhere except my core.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ernesto

Users / Telecom Issue: Receive error whenever I call my LMCE system
« on: October 20, 2010, 08:30:48 pm »
Hello,

I recently added my Grandstream HT503 phone adapter to my core, and my core has been added to my Broadvoice account. While testing the functionality of the telecom system, and I came across something unusual. Whenever I attempt to call my Broadvoice number using an outside line the telecom screen pops up, and then quickly disappears. The strange thing is that the phone continues to ring through and drops me into my voicemail. During the call attempt the Grandstream attached phones never ring, and the Orbiter gives me the following "Call canceled:No route to destination". It would appear that the system is currently working I just wanted to post this in case anyone else has had similar issues.

Thanks,

Ernesto

Users / Need assistance with LG Template (20LS7D (RS232) #1915)
« on: September 18, 2010, 03:59:46 pm »
Hello,

As stated in the subject line, I could use a hand getting the volume up and volume down commands working in the LG 20LS7D (RS232) #1915 template. I tried fiddling with the code, but all I could get it to do was go from volume level 0 straight to 100, but I couldn't get it anywhere in between. I've looked at my LG's manual, and I'm fairly certain that all the codes are the same, so I don't believe it's an issue with my model.  Below is the code. I'd like to get this fixed so that it can be included in future snapshots.

Thanks,

Ernesto
Code: [Select]
print "lowering volume from ", @volume, "\n"
cmd_313(@volume-1)

Code: [Select]
print "raising volume from ", @volume, "\n"
cmd_313(@volume+1)

Users / Hulu Desktop Update
« on: August 14, 2010, 02:35:31 am »
Hello All,

I noticed that the Hulu Desktop has a software update, which appears every time I try to watch Hulu on my Diskless MD. I went ahead and downloaded .deb file to my KDE desktop using the link provided, and went through the installation. After a reboot of the MD, I fired up Hulu, and it started running as normal.

Please Note**

I performed this update on a Diskless MD, and not on my core/hybrid. I didn't want to test this out on my main system, and have to rebuild if something went wrong.

Hope this helps

Users / Hulu Player not starting after router reload
« on: March 21, 2010, 03:15:26 pm »
Hello,

I'm not sure if anyone else is having the same problem, but I had been using the awesome Hulu Player (Thanks Thom) for about week, then for some reason it just wouldn't start whenever I try to activate the program from the UI.  After a router reload I noticed the Hulu_Player was timing out before the completion of the reload.  I've tried uninstalling the package on both MD's, and updating the sqlCVS as well, but nothing helps. I've provided some log data, but I can provide more if necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ernesto

« on: December 21, 2009, 01:35:14 am »
So I've completed my Beta 2 installation, but I'm having problems getting the sound going.  To be perfectly honest, I have no clue what the problem could be as I as all the alsa packages installed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Installation issues / Beta 2 Installation issues [SOLVED]
« on: December 18, 2009, 09:33:22 pm »
All,

Sorry for adding another problem, but I'm having a problem getting Beta 2 installed, and I'm now on my 4th or 5th installation via the internet install.  I believe the installation is complete, but the AVWizard doesn't come, instead the screen turns white and just sits there. I don't have the logs from my last "aptitude dist-upgrade" in front of me, but what from what I can remember it appears to have something to do with the following packages. I noticed a problem with these files.

libvdpau1
nvidia-glx-180
libxine1

I know this is very vague, but I'm hoping someone has seen the same thing and can shed some light on the matter.

Hello All,

I was curious to know if there would be a way to use the WebDT 366 as a telephonic comm device using the PadOrbiter distro. I think it would be pretty handy, and would be a good use of the mic, audio jack, and speakers that it comes with.  Just a thought.

Thanks,

Ernesto

« on: November 25, 2009, 03:38:21 am »
Hello All,

I'm currently running 8.10B, and am testing the new DVD jukebox I just purchased. I' running into a problem when I try to play a disk from the changer, I keep getting the following error on the orbiter screen:

I cannot play this media. Perhaps there is not a valid device in this entertainment area capable of playing it. Drive is not available

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Users / FireWire Support for Motorola DCT-6412 using MythTV
« on: November 17, 2009, 10:49:42 pm »
Hello All,

I've searched through the LinuxMCE forum for information on this matter, but most of the info I came across is not very recent, and does not provide a clear answer.

Does or will LinuxMCE 8.10 provide support for channel tuning via Firewire on the DCT-6412 using MythTV? If so, is there any LinuxMCE specific instructions to get it working, or should I go by the directions on the MythTV site?

Thanks in advance,

Ernesto

Hello All,

I came across the the following item at Best Buy the other day, and I thought it would make a nice replacement for the discontinued Sony VAIO VGP-XL1B3. It has an Ethernet and RS-232 ports, so I think it can be made to work, but I'll let the Devs speak to that. Just thought I'd let the community know just in case anyone was looking at media changer, like I've been.

Users / Hardware Compatibility: Plantronics CS50-USB Wireless Headset
« on: September 02, 2009, 11:01:42 pm »
Hello All,

I'm looking to use my Core to manage incoming/outgoing calls in lieu of the Broadvoice VOIP adapter currently in place. I saw Thom's demo of the Phoenix Solo USB Microphone and the speaker set, which was awesome, but I wanted something I could carry around the whole house. I came across the Plantronics CS50-USB Wireless Headset for VoIP Softphones, but I wanted to be sure that it could be used with LinuxMCE. My question is would I be able to connect this to my core and LinuxMCE just recognize it as a PNP device, or would this require some work on the back-end to make it compatible.

Thanks,

Ern
