Installation issues / Re: SVN error trying to install 1004

Thanks for letting me know.

So the best option is an image then?

Is there any way to donate toward a new disk?

Cheers,

Phil

Installation issues / SVN error trying to install 1004
« on: May 08, 2011, 01:44:32 pm »
Hi,
(All spaces in links intentional, as not allowed to post links yet)

Just trying to install 1004 as detailed in the wiki:
 /Installing_1004

When I try to check out the install script, I get a connection error:
svn co LINK REMOVED
svn: OPTIONS of 'LINK REMOVED': could not connect to server (address of svn server)

The host can be pinged, but the subversion service seems not to be running?

Is there another way to get the script?

Thanks,

Phil

Users / Re: Intel BOXD510MO fanless board

Hi.

I have one of these, I am not using it for an MD but a core.

So far it has been a bit of a trial to set up, as the realtek r8168 has issues with the DVD images for 810, but the net install method with the kubuntu live cd seems to resolve that.

Be aware that there are only 2 sata ports on the board, and a single pci slot as well as a minipci slot for a wireless card or maybe a broad com card.  If you are going for a md I would look at an ion 330 based system, such as the acer revo 3610

Feature requests & roadmap / Meego (was: Attitude of COOPERATION.)
« on: August 10, 2010, 12:55:34 am »
Let me make this very clear,

at this point, there is no indication of where MeeGo will Go.

I am doing this, as a systems analysis and feasibility research project.

My intention is to present a working system as a proof of concept, and ask for developers to test, review, and to make a decision.

This is very interesting from a couple of directions:

I think a base like meego will provide a solid platform to build on
The screens and layouts for the handset versions of meego will be invaluable to the project
I have an O2joggler and I am going to try to get meego running on it as a device, but I was thinking that booting gPXE from the Efi and using that to load the joggler as an MD for the bedside table or similar.

(Mind you, that will happen when I get linuxmce working which at the moment is proving to be a bit of a nightmare, but that is the subject of another post....)

Right, that is my 2cents worth, off to sleep!
