Users / HP Pavilion s3320f

I am new to Linux as well as LMCE.  My brother-in-law put me on to it.  I am looking to set my house up for EXACTLY what LMCE has to offer, but need to know some things before I proceed. 

Before I found out about LMCE I purchased an HP Pavilion s3320f:
   AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
   2GB RAM
   Geforce 6150 SE onboard video (shared RAM)
   I don't know which tuner card is in there.

I was wondering if LMCE would work on this computer or if there is specific hardware that I would need to use.  I am already planning on creating a new computer eventually (or just getting a Fiire Station) for use as a hybrid system, but want to get rid of Vista as soon as possible.  Any thoughts on this?  How compatible is LMCE with any given hardware?  and will my HP windows remote control work with LMCE?
