I am always laughing when I see people wanting to control the temperature in a room. This must be something from a different country, or mind set.

In my mindset, I set the temperature for a room once, I might modify it empirical over time, but never ever do I change the temperature in a room daily or on a time schedule. Way more expensive to reheat a room, than to keep a room at a specific temperature. Maybe other countries/homes are different, but that is the scientific consensus in Germany.

the point may be, in the case of a central heatingsystem, you set the temperature for each room but there is no sensor which checks how warm it really is in each room (they often just have an outside sensor). now when you have big windows in a room and sun is shining the room would be warm enough without heating. when heating is on as well, it would get too warm...

my 2 cents

probably your problem is that your audio is not tagged and so it does not show up under audio...
if your stuff shows up, you can just go into that album and hit "play all".

Onkyo receivers work very smooth as well, and they have ethernet...

Installation issues / Re: Installation from source - how to get them?

why don't you just go with something like Mister House which is designed just for Homeautomation. You take a fullhouse solution and want to take away about 90% of its features. Doesn't make much sense, right?

the best thing about that seems to be the video, all other things don't seem to be new at all. if we had a advertising video like this we could propably collect some big amount of money as well.

I would be happy enough if anybody could change the browser plugins so that it would fire a mediascenario when sending a youtubevideo to the chromecast. This way av receiver or TV would change inputs to the connected chromecast...
are the plugins even open source?  ???

maybe it would help to set up a detailled list of possible features and a rough time how long it would take to implement them. then you can divide the 50000 and you know how much money is needed for each feature.
this way everybody knows what he is spending his money on and knows what exactly he is getting for it. This may help to get people more interested.

By that collapse thing, is that meant you can groupe videos in the videosection? Like when I have a lot of simpsons episodes there will only show up "Simpsons" in videos and if I click on that it will show all the episodes?
If so, to me this feature would at least be worth an extra 100€.

good idea, you can count me in as well for say 100€.

still it's hard to find 500 people which want to give 100$ because lmce is pretty much a niche product (somehow). maybe you can get more interest if you offer different stages where you then get LMCE tshirts or things like that.  ???

as it's been a long time since the last update, I just wanted to show progress (I did not have much time so its not much).
I played with creating hair and found out that this is crazy hard to do...anyway:
