To read about this behavior makes me sadden and angry.

It's true that I heard/read your "magic words" before, but THAT is absolutely no way to treat somebody ( especially no dev  ;) ).

Please, keep up your excellent work and I think all of us - 1 would be very sad ( and even more helpless  ;) ) if your leave this project in any way!

Feature requests & roadmap / Re: GUI Improvements

I don't want to get kicked  ;) too by joining this discussion, but wouldn't it be possible to do a "quick" (without the need of a to detailed view of the lmce code) demo XBMC orbiter? Just as a prove of concept...

Something like:
- add new regular orbiter for the same system as the XBMC orbiter stays on
- use a smb dir on core for skin and xml files
- write a small app able to capture/send messages (with regular orbiters device id created before) and use XBMC as skinning engine

Developers / Re: Calling all UI Designers for new Basic Skin
« on: July 28, 2008, 11:52:08 am »
Hi Thom,
I would be interested joining you team, but at the moment I try to get a java HADesigner running as I had more crashes with the original one as it is agreeable for me. Unfortunately I have less time at the moment so it could take some weeks to finish it... but then count me in  :)

The possibilities LinuxMCE offers are enough for a good UI to be build (in my opinion), but maybe we should change something anyhow. Before building new UIs, it could be a good idea to seperate design and function of a DesingObject. Thus would allow a much easier reuse and a faster creation of new "skins"/UIs, I think.

After reading a bit more I should change my questions as skins are just replacements for basic ui as I understand now :-(

But how can I setup/build an complete new ui?

Users / [HADesigner] How to change root skin directory for new gui?
« on: June 05, 2008, 03:38:57 pm »
Hi everbody,

I just started playing around with the HADesigner (think anyone using it has to love pain ;) ) to try to build a new gui.
Unfortunately I'm not able to change the skin or image root directory. I have added a new skin, but every new designobject throws an error message about images which are not in the right "\basic" dir.

Does anyone know how to change the root directory?

And.. Is there a way to avoid app crash when image is not findable?

Thanks in advance...

I'm ashamed, but I don't get the relations  :-\

Do I need to change my /etc/asterisk/capi.conf context from "from-pstn" to "from-pluto-custom"?

Could you please give a detailed description what you have done with your system to get isdn or any custom incoming trunk running?

@Bulek If I got your right, you create a new lmce user "housephone"? But where is the link between freepbx and this lmce user? I see no difference between my "default" user and a newly created one.

Maybe its not user related and I should change my question to "How can I route asterisk calls into the lmce?". As I understand, I bypass the lmce by routing the call (in freepbx) directly to the orbiters extensions.

I fear there is only a small checkbox or any small trick I miss and the whole think is easy as pie  ;)

Thanks Zaerc,
I found this extension already. But my problem is, I'm not able to use it in any way. It is not avaiable in FreePBX, thus I can't set an end point for call routing...

Is no one using the telecom feature?
Please, have a look at your system as and lend me a helping hand, as I think it is a lmce related problem and there is no other place to seek for help therefore.

Again...Thanks  :)

Hi everone,

I try to get my system running, but a few things are not working yet. Therefore I have a few questions, hoping to get an answer, even if most of the gurus are working on the 710 release   ;D

- Is it possible to use a users extension in FreePBX configurations?
- If so, how could it be done? Only orbiter extensions are available in my configuration.
- Does your linuxcme generate the user extension or is it only available for internal use on Asterisk?

Thanks in advance

Installation issues / Re: isdn in-/outbound routes
« on: April 23, 2008, 07:26:55 pm »
In my mind creating a ring group would just bundle all extension to a new one?!

@Hari Could you please describe your post a bit? Unfortunately I'm no well experienced with asterisk (and linuxmce, too) yet.

Another problem solved. It seems that my windows orbiter softphone is not working correct. The softphone of a newly created md is working and gets connected in both directions.

But my last question regarding routing is still unsolved. How can contact my users extension? The AMP inbound rule page allows only to choose between the softphone extensions.
