Yes I am also surprised that it does not work properly.

I tested a few parameters (-a 200 for example) but without success yet.

And it's not sync the problem, I have the same without it.

I'll keep looking.

Motherboard: Gigabyte  GA-P35-DS3L
Processor: Intel duo Quad 9300
RAM: OCZ Dual Channel Platinum XTC, DDR2 PC2-6400, Cas 4 (2 x 2 Go)

I mean that the track skip allways few ms in the song and throughout all the track (and no silence).
The original tempo is disturbed (sorry but I can not get a better explanation in English ;-)).

It is like some parts of the songs are missing for few ms and that all 2 or 3s in the song !
Like I said, it is strange to describe.

Hi Phenigma and Posde

It's ok now but I had to remove lmce-squeezeslave before installing the new package.

I just have another problem. The sound seems as if we had cut off pieces of melody (hard to describe for me ;-)).
I tried with web radio and music in .flac, .mp3. Same result.

I sync the same sound in three rooms. It worked very well with squeezeslave.
Maybe a missing parameter ?

Greetings
Philippe

Hi,

I have done apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade this morning gand allways have the same error.

Apparently lmce-squeezeslave package is not yet corrected.

Installation issues / Re: Intel NUC D54250WY problem
« on: June 12, 2014, 11:19:30 am »
Hum...

It seems that something is missing in the instructions.

I have install linux-generic-lts-saucy kernel on core and not linux-generic-lts-trusty because I assumed that it was a mistake ?!

I redid a full installation with update, dist-ugrade, Diskless_BuildDefaultImage.sh and Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh.

After a long time ;-) I had to insert a noapic nolapic in the tftpboot default file (without I have a kernel panic).

NUC I5 boot but after the Diskless_Setup it does not go to the AV Wizard. I only have the kde logo boot splash and nothing append (after 1 hours !).

I have install another MD (Zotac HD41) without problem.

I have look the NUC I5 logs but nothing explains what happens. It is like it is frozen and I can not log on it via ssh.

Sorry but for now I have no idea what I have to do :-(

Greetings
Philippe

Installation issues / Intel NUC D54250WY problem
« on: June 05, 2014, 10:56:27 am »
Hi,

I have a problem for using a Intel I5 NUC as MD on LinuxMCE 1204.
It give me a kernel freeze on boot.

I have insert a noapic in the tftpboot default file.
This is a little better but it still ends up with a kernel panic.

I've try to boot this NUC with a usb kubuntu 12.04.3 (i386) and have no problem.

I do not know what else to try.

Any idea ?

Greetings

Hi,

I have no doubt that the changes needed to improve the system but for now it does not work for me. ;-)

Here the asound.conf for the 2 MDs:

Ion:

</etc/pluto/alsa/virtual_cards.conf>

pcm_slave.hdmi_convert48k {

}

pcm.hdmi_playback {
        type plug
        slave hdmi_convert48k
}

pcm.asym_hdmi {
        type asym
        playback.pcm "hdmi_playback"
        capture.pcm "plughw:0"
}

pcm.!default asym_hdmi

Ion2:
Code: [Select]
root@moon20:~# cat /etc/asound.conf
</etc/pluto/alsa/virtual_cards.conf>

pcm_slave.hdmi_convert48k {
        pcm "plughw:"
        rate 48000
}

pcm.hdmi_playback {
        type plug
        slave hdmi_convert48k
}

pcm.asym_hdmi {
        type asym
        playback.pcm "hdmi_playback"
        capture.pcm "plughw:"
}

pcm.!default asym_hdmi

I've join the irc linuxmce channel (pga57)

Thank's for your help.

Users / Audio over HDMI does not work anymore
« on: December 30, 2013, 10:37:54 am »
Hi,

After doing a upgrade with the lastest pluto-boot-script and mce-diskless-tool (lmce 1004), audio over hdmi does not work anymore on 2 of my MDs (Ion and Ion2 motherboard).
I have try AVWizard to resolve those but have no success.

I also used the asound.conf.pbackup (it specifies the device in addition to the card, ex:plughw:0,3) on the MD but it does not solve anything.

Brief for the moment I do not understand what is happening.
Assistance would be welcome ;-)

Greetings
Philippe

Yes, pan & zoom and else are not yet implemented.
It is my first DT and have put the minimum required for making snapshots.
I'll try to add them this weekend.
