Marketplace / USB UIRTS and Xantech extenders (Both opened box)
« on: December 11, 2009, 09:32:41 pm »

I have some USB UIRTS (56k enhanced versions) that are not in packaging and have been used once or twice. They have been tested and are in full working order.
I will let these go at the bargain price of £30 including delivery to anywhere in the world.
I also have some Xantech 282D IR extenders, they are actually brand new but do not come in a package (left over from a multipack). I will let these go for £10 including delivery.
Payment by Bank Transfer, Paypal or I can set something up on my web site (hightechpad.com) to accept a credit card payment.
I only have about 3-4 of each product so be quick!

Cheers!

I think you have some good points.
I may do a built in flash app that will let you in effect design your house in it and add cores, MDs, z-wave lights etc.. Then you can purchase a bundle in that way..
Once I go down that route though, I would have to licence the products as Linux MCE Cores and MDs. It's quite a big step from what I have at the moment and I am unsure if it would add that much value..

the Asrock 330 is pretty well supported in 810. You have to install the latest nvidia driver manually, but it works pretty well.

Hi,
They are available on my site : http://www.hightechpad.com/?q=fullsystems
However, they will be provided with a UK adapter. You should be able to get an adapter in the US easily enough though.

There isn't a shipping option to US on my site, so if you do want one then pm me first.
Thanks,
Mark

I am not sure I can legally do that without paying a licence fee for every item I sell. However, I am in the process of updating the wiki pages with information for all the products I have to prove compatability.

Marketplace / New web store for European Users....
« on: April 04, 2009, 02:21:37 pm »
Hi,
I have been a using LinuxMCE quite a while and love it. However, I have experienced frustration in obtaining hardware that is compatible or is recommended for use with LinuxMCE. I therefore decided to create a new web site targetting European LMCE and general Linux home users by providing generic domestic computer hardware and LinuxMCE related hardware.
I have decided to create a place that sells items such as Z-Wave kit, USB UIRTs, Xantech IR Emitters, Antec Cases, Basic Barebones systems, IP Cameras etc. I also have access to the entire Dianemo range of LinuxMCE kit (all licenced with Pluto).
I am also looking to increase the range to include the WebDT orbitors, more Z-Wave equipment, fully licenced Media Directors, VoIP hardware, remote controls and more.
So there you have it, if you would like to visit the new site, the address www.hightechpad.com.
If you would like to discuss anything with me, I am a regular in the IRC channel.
Many Thanks,
Mark

If you need to know about a command, or just find a command to do something you need, a good place to look is www.commandlinefu.com. You can use the search command and often you will find a command and an example of how to use it. It is incredibly handy.

you need to look in /etc/apache2/sites-available/
Create a new file called piknclik and then enter the following :

<VirtualHost *>
        ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost
        ServerName www.piknclik.com
        DocumentRoot /var/www/piknclik/
        <Directory />
                Options FollowSymLinks
                AllowOverride None
        </Directory>
        <Directory /var/www/piknclik/>
              Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
              AllowOverride None
              Order allow,deny
              allow from all
        </Directory>
        ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/error.log
        CustomLog /var/log/apache2/access.log combined
</VirtualHost>

This assumes /var/www/piknclik is where your html files are. Change this accordingly.

Then run 'sudo a2ensite piknclik' , and then run 'sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 reload'

Job Done :)
