« on: June 23, 2012, 12:13:02 pm »
Just verified.

For me, adding a title will show both titles as a single item. i.e. if 1st title is World and 2nd title is Garden, the display in the list is World - Garden

For Performers it does work as expected by me, i.e. two entries, one for World and one for Garden.
Hi Posde,

Thanks for keep looking in to this. I tried it with another DVD, which I ripped longer ago, and with this one it works exactly as you describe and as I would expect.

I digged a little deeper and I think I found the problem, however I don't know how this is solvable. I found out that the system makes a whole bunch of id3 files for just the one dvd, with weird names like:

World_and_Garden.iso
World_and_Garden.iso.id3
World_and_Garden.iso.id3.XbagN3
World_and_Garden.iso.id3.FGrLn1

...and so on...

When I rename the ISO file to .dvd and I take the id3 file and rename it corrispondingly , it picks up just the one title: World. So the rest of the attributes must be in the other id3 files ???

Thanks,
Reint.

If it is sorted by anything but filename it does show all titles.

Hi Posde,

Thanks for your answer. This would be the exact behavior I was expecting. However, I checked this out and sorting by File name gives me the obvious ISO files. But when I sort by Title it definitely gives me only the last Title And not the other titles I filled out  ???

Users / Dianemo S: DVDs with multiple titles problem
« on: June 21, 2012, 10:12:54 pm »
Hi all,

I came across the following problem: I have a couple of DVDs with multiple movies on it. I ripped them to ISOs and copied them to the core. In Media File Sync I entered the different titles as media attributes, so it looks something like this:

Attributes:
   Genre   Children
   Title   The Polar Express
   Title   Disneys A Christmas Carol

Now when I go to my media browser it only shows me the last title in the list, in this case I only can find "A Christmas Carol" in my list of movies. It will not show "The Polar Express". How ever when I use the search function on "The Polar Express" it shows up as a title and also brings me to the correct ISO file.

Is there any way to let Media Browser show these multiple titles?

Kind regards,
Reint.

Marketplace / Re: New Dianemo UI Skin - Available from today
« on: May 29, 2012, 11:30:48 pm »
Hi Andrew,

This new UI looks pretty sweet! Another great update for my Dianemo system, just one question, I'm unable to control Live TV from it? Is this correct?

Kind Regards
Reint.

We have released the new Dianemo UI1 style UI skin today. See the attached Home screen image for a sample of the new look and feel. This UI like our previous 'Red Line' UI is optimised for use with touch based devices and in addition the new Dianemo UI skin is also optimised for use for on screen Orbiters. The Dianemo UI skin features a complete redesign of the graphical look and almost every screen has undergone major layout improvements. We've taken on-board a lot of user feedback and have incorporated that into the design of the new UI. We have additional UI enhancements in the pipeline for the Dianemo UI so look out for these in the future.

Simply run the update script as normal to get this and any other pending updates for your system. Then in Web Admin go to Wizard->Devices->Orbiters and select 'Dianemo' from the Skin drop down. Now click 'Update' and then click 'Full Regen' in the green bar beneath any Orbiter you want to convert to the Dianemo UI. We will be updating the Dianemo S wiki page in the next few days with more details of the new UI and how to configure it.

As with all other Dianemo updates this update is freely available to all our customers running Dianemo S on 11.10 or later OS releases.

No worries! I have great respect for all the work you're putting in this system!!!

In a way I like the experience I'm gaining in building the system from source (reminds me of my Gentoo days), the wife is a little less amused ;)
Am trying to build it right now...

Thx,
Reint.

Hi guys,

This week I have setup the build environment for 0810. I rebuilt the Pluto-mythtv-player package and installed it on my running core. Unfortunately I am still experiencing these random key presses, Watching live TV is doable, but the guide and watch recordings are terrible. Any thoughts on a solution?

Thanx!
Reint.

Hi Thom,

Glad to see you're still human, even you make a coding mistake sometimes...  ;D
I'm just happy you spotted this as a bug.

Apparently this made it into the 0810 branch as well then. Anything I can do myself to solve this? Add/update the trac ticket?

Regards,
Reint.

Hi guys,

I'm on 0810, and had a hardware failure on my Core this weekend. In the process of upgrading it I also upgraded my LinuxMCE. Since then I'm experiencing these random keypresses as well. I went from the avanard repo's back to the Linuxmce mythtv, I'm now on version 0.23:

You guys still having this problem or do you know of a fix for this?

Users / Re: Fail2ban - using?
« on: September 19, 2010, 08:33:05 pm »
Hi Paulo,

So sorry, I got confused  :-[

It's in the comment at the top of the jail.conf file itself. My fail2ban asterisk rule didn't show when I put it in jail.conf. After I changed it to jail.local everything worked like a charm. Its already blocking some asterisk intruders for me!

Sorry for the mix-up!
Reint.

Hi Paulo,

Put the stuff for the file /etc/fail2ban/jail.conf into /etc/fail2ban/jail.local. According to the howto in your earlier post, you're not supposed to add rules the jail.conf file but jail.local instead.

So in /etc/fail2ban/jail.local you put:

Code: [Select]
[asterisk-iptables]

enabled  = true
filter   = asterisk
action   = iptables-allports[name=ASTERISK, protocol=all]
           sendmail-whois[name=ASTERISK, dest=root, sender=fail2ban@example.org]
logpath  = /var/log/asterisk/full
maxretry = 3
bantime = 259200

Do a reload of fail2ban:

Code: [Select]
# sudo /etc/init.d/fail2ban restart
And now with:

Code: [Select]
# iptables -v -L
you should see that the asterisk rule is loaded.

Hope this helps,
Greets,
Reint.
