Title: Bluetooth Dongles
Post by: Techstyle on December 02, 2009, 03:44:09 am
I have tried 2 different Bluetooth Dongles and both have problems the first shows up and finds the phone but does not send out the right messages (according to Hari after I sent him one).  the second (my latest attempt to get this working) does not even find phones or anything.  The second device is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833139019 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833139019) which says it works with Linux, I tried what the reviewer stated.

Any ideas on how I can get the second device working or can anybody send a link to one they know definately works?

Thanks,
Techstyle

 :o :o :o :o
I've not had a system working sufficiently well to actually use the 1 I bought from you yet do I now assume that it won't work and return for a refund ?

BTW is it a proper use of the forum to do your product research like this ?

bemused,
Ian

I've been using the nano bluetooth dongle jobbies available on ebay at £1.75 a pop. They seem to work well with 0710 at least, and are very discreet.

And that's the second time mr Techstyle has been found to sell products he did not bother to research, there better not be a third...

Zaerc you are incorrect (again...let there not be a third :-) :

The first time, I had done research, not only that but I had provided devices to both Totallymaxed and Hari for them to confrim.

This time, I plugged the device in and LMCE finds it, installs it and every phone is discovered and LMCE sets ups a orbiter for it, at this point I couldn't get the JAVAMO to work but it could have been my phone.  I sent a dongle to Hari but he said there was an issue with the device that meant it would not work with JavaMO.  I can transfer files to the core with it and it pairs with the phone so it does work with Linux and LMCE.  However, Maybeoneday, send me a PM or mail with your Invoice number and I will refund you.

I did manage to get JAVAMO working with the other device last night but it had the same symptoms as the techstyle one, that being that the JAVAMO software would not push to the phone, when downloaded directly it worked.  I will be trying this with the Techstyle one when I get home, it may be different in 0810?

Once more your stories don't add up, seems like you are lying... again.

Obviously you have researched that just as thoroughly as the "LMCE compatible" products you sell.
