Title: Pluto features?
Post by: archived on August 29, 2006, 06:57:16 am
I'm currently a Media Portal user, but i stumbled across this site and pluto looks really cool. Few questions though.

Pluto doesnt need an os installed? It pretty much is the os?
I saw that it stores some info about movies, but does it pull it from the web and store posters for each movie? So when i want to watch a movie i can select a poster? How about for tv show?
Can i use a remote and a phone to control it?
Does it have any plugins that i can download and install?
How about a list of features?

Sorry i couldnt really find any of this info, thanks

of course pluto needs an OS, we use debian sarge.
yes, you can use the admin website to choose all the attributes for a media file, including cover art.
you can use a bluetooth mobile phone (symbian series 60 or windows mobile 2003) or an ir remote to control pluto.
you don't need any downloadable plug-ins, maybe an update from time to time.
for a list of features you can read our commercial website, for technical details see the support website.
