Does Pluto support Lutron Homeworks, GE NX8e, Nuvo Concerto systems without developing any driver. It shows it is compatible...but I don't see where a driver is available. I would assume any rs232 or ethernet device is compatible.

Those devices were previously used with a much older predecessor of Pluto,
so we know it works. However with this version we started from scratch
last year with a totally new architure. It doesn't appear support has
been added in the current Pluto. Adding support for new devices is
usually not too tough. There's no need to write C++ code. GSD allows the
user to check off the commands he wants to implement, and it gives you a
'fill in the blank' for what to send on the serial port for those
commands, and it supports embedding Ruby-language code for string
manipulation and logic. Typically adding support for a new lighting or
security system is only a couple days worth of work. If you have the
devices and connect them, and enable remote assistance, we can work with
you remotely to add support.

Would it be possible to send you the protocols for the devices and have you design a basic driver for each and go from there.
-
Yes, of course.

I'm also interested in getting the NX-8E working. (I tore out my old alarm system and bought the Caddx just to use for Pluto.)
Can we also get a template for the RCS TXB16 X10 thermostat http://www.resconsys.com/products/stats/x10.htm? This device is controllable by Pluto, but because it uses 2 X10 house codes and all 16 addresses in each house code for bi-directional communication, any of my attempts to make this user-friendly have flopped.
Thanks,
