Title: fsck: errors out after checking disk
Post by: Marper on February 10, 2009, 04:00:42 pm
The other day I rebooted my core and began to get an error indicating that the disk needed.  The system seems to run the check ok and then I get:

Automatic file system check errored and will need to be run manually.  Afterwhich, I get a number of bash: messages with not found and the system stalls with no cursor or any additional processing.

I've tried doing a number of things to run fsck manually however with no results.

Any information that can assist would be helpfu.

try running in single user mode (choose recovery mode from the Grub menu) and get to a prompt. Make sure you run the file check as root and see if you get the same results
