Title: surveillance system
Post by: qwertybob482 on February 04, 2009, 06:58:12 pm
I showed a friend my home security setup and they would like a similar one for their business.  Does anyone have any suggestions on any inexpensive cameras to use on a budget?(friend wants to keep it under $4000)

they want around 4 outdoor cameras and 2 indoor cameras.

-edit-
they have a wireless router so ideally I would use wireless ip cameras, but the outdoor variety are few and far between with high price tags to boot, but I should also be able to wire them.

Axis and Panasonic are very recommended. They both have outdoor models and cases, too.

best regards,
Hari

We use Y-Cam cameras (as well as Panasonic and Axis as Hari suggested);

These are pretty much plug-n-play and are really very good value indeed.

All the best

when you say 'pretty much' plug-n-play, what do you mean by pretty much?

And thank you to all of you for the suggestions.
