Title: Ubuntu 8.10 dual boot with LinuxMCE
Post by: thibaudeaua on January 25, 2009, 07:31:50 pm
I recently built a Ubuntu 8.10 box with Edubuntu for my son.  Is it possible to turn this into a dual boot with LinuxMCE Media Director to pull from my Hybrid?  If so, I currently only have one partition do I need to reinstall to get two partions or can I split the one I have.

Thanks

And once it's PXE-booting, in the web-admin on the restart page you can set it to boot from "Net" (diskless MD) or "Hdd" (Edubuntu in this case).

and when it runs as a media director you can click on restart as in the power section of the orbiter to restart it from the HDD

For some reason, I need to click "Display Off", then move the mouse (off the button) and click again before those buttons show up.  Possibly a bug?

I do not see that behaviour in 0710. Need to check on 0810.
