Title: Change resolution and UI
Post by: joshr219 on December 24, 2008, 08:13:38 pm
Is there a way I can change my UI from alpha blending to medium and change my resolution to 720p without going into the AVWizard? I did some digging on the Wiki and couldn't find anything.

Any help would be good.

Hi.

I think you can do it from the Admin website:
Wizzard / Devices / Orbiters / Advanced

There is a dropdown for the Resolution settings.

There is also a Dropdown for Orbiter interface selection - but this one is not working for me.

So, i can only help with the Resolution...

Ciao,
Witzman

I would recommend using the AVwizard to change resolution and any of the other 'AV' settings for an MD or your Core/Hybrid. Either select it from the Orbiter and then wait for it to run when the MD or Hybrid reboots. Or alternatively press the 'Shift' key as you hear the rising sequence of 'beeps' during the boot process; See this Wiki page for more details of the AVwizard; http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/AVWizard (http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/AVWizard)

Merry Christmas!!!

All the best

Andrew

The Orbiter interface selection was disabled a long time ago because apparently there is more to it then just changing that value, at least as far as I know.
