Title: Slingbox in LMCE?
Post by: cafedumonde on September 15, 2008, 09:45:36 pm

Does the slingbox work as video capture device for LMCE? The girl mentions it in the setup wizard but there is no information about it in the wiki.

I am interested because I'm looking for a component-video capture solution that will allow me to grab the premium channels on my cable box. Slingbox seems to support this and additionally would allow streaming of content to mobile devices.

Alternatively the Hauppague HD-PVR product also seems to do this. Any experience with this?

We use the SlingBox (component out model) very successfully with installations... no LinuxMCE specific setup at all.

All the best

Andrew, how do you get shows from the sling onto the hard drive of your MCE core?
