Title: Tv Tuner card question....Yes, another one =)
Post by: ytuxedo002 on May 23, 2008, 03:57:29 am
I just found this tv tuner card in my storage.  I have been trying to look for info on it but i have not had any luck so far.

It is a Hauppauge WinTV NTSC 37281 Rev A233.  It has FM in, TV in, Audio out, DTV/S-Vid, Line in and an IR port.  Anybody know what model this can be?  And more importantly if it'll work with LMCE??

Thanks

If it is supported by myth tv then you should be fine.
Best thing to do since you have the card at hand is try it for yourself. It seems like an old-ish card so chances are the drivers for it are already in the linux kernel so it may just work.

Install linux and enter mythtv setup to se if the card has been loaded

Hi ytuxedo002,

You could try looking at the images on http://www.bttv-gallery.de/ (http://www.bttv-gallery.de/) to identify the card and get some information about the required drivers/modules but generally speaking most of the older hauppauge cards  are auto-detected by the kernel as gazlang implied.
