Title: Desktop Sharing Software
Post by: agentc0re on April 16, 2008, 04:28:50 pm
Last night some of you helped me out by testing out that yuuguu program for desktop sharing and it didn't work.  I later found out because it had to do with the fact i use dual monitors.  Once i disabled one of them from nvidia's control panel it worked.

I tried to get a few more of ya to test it out again this morning but i failed :P

So, this is how you get it to work.
Go here http://yuuguu.com/ (http://yuuguu.com/)
Download the MAC version.
Unzip in whatever DIR you want, IE: ~/yuuguu
Open CLI
Code: [Select]
cd ~/yuuguu/Yuuguu.app/Contents/Resources/Java
java -jar YuuguuLauncher.jar
you'll need to create an account.
and thats it.  Just need to test with a few people being connected to see how well it performs.

Okay, tested it out with quite a few people and it seems to work great.
Next test is to actually use it for a demonstration.  Anyone have anything they want to demonstrate or do a class to further test it out?

agentcore,

nice!  I will try that out, and possibly use it for my next workshop, DCE 101.

Does anyone know if yuuguu works under wine?  It seems a little ironic to have to install windows just for linux mce development conference...  :(  And yes, that means I'm currently windows free and liking it!   :)

Have fun,
Roy
